It seems like I'm the only tennis fan on DP as I haven't seen any French Open threads yet. Anyone else following it at all?? It looks like a Nadal/Federer match is imminent once again, and I'm hoping Federer can pull it off this year. any other thoughts?
OH gosh I love the French Open (missed watching last year's and probably this year..) I loved the match between Guillermo Corio and Gaston Gaudio back in the day!!! (ok not that many years ago) it went on for hours Who are you rooting for? I'm liking Nadal, we need some new blood out there! Clay court is the best
I'm a big tennis fun..got good results to back up the way I play. Finished top 100 in the nation for boys 12's and under. Top 150 in the nation for Boys 14's and under. Finished first in the zonal championships which players all over the us come play. I play tennis 6-8 hours during no school days and 3 hours during school days.
I love tennis mate, was really into it playing tournaments when I was younger. A few weeks ago if you said Leyton Hewitt would reach the 4th round, you would have laughed because he hasn't played much tennis and hasn't been in the best of form. I reckon he will give Nadal a good test
you're probably one of the few players who could actually beat me then I just placed 2nd in my state's tennis tournament in the highest class... what do you hit with (racket)?

Well I am big fan of Roger Federr and he is throgh in Q/F and I am sue he would be happy to become French Open champion. Only GS he need to complete 4 GS list.

I am the biggest fan on Andre Aggasi as he is retired now the Master is Fedrer no doubt....But we can not say Nadal is less experianced no one can defend like him especailly on clay...And final will Be Fedd v/s Nedd sure... @ PROCRASTINATOR sorry dear then you have to watch only the first two rounds of every Gran Slam coz Sania never reached up then that LOL.....but that is a great pick man
I'm also a tennis player/fan. I hope very much that Federer makes it through! I think the perfect scenario would be that he wins against Nadal in the final after a breathtaking 5 set match. It makes me smile just thinking about it.
im a fan also.. my favourite player is Pete Sampras.. i think he is the most dominant player that ever play the game..combination of power and finest.. during his time it takes super human performance to beat Sampras... But Federer is on his way to beat Sampras record of the most grand slam win... Between Federer and Nadal, it would be close.. i've watched last year's final, they put up a good show and i'm sure they not done yet...
Well it looks like Federer Vs Nadal final once agian after both players entre the Q/F. I wish Roger will win this title after wining last title agianst Nadal.
Federer should finally win the French Open, and i hope its vs Nadal. Federer is such a great Player he deserves it to win this time.
I'm a huge tennis fan...was ranked #1 in my province in Under 12 and Under 14 and represent my province at Canada Games and Western Canada Games (Won a Medal!!)....Even had a sponsorship from Wilson back in the day...might still have it I don't know they havnt said anythig that I'm not anymore even though I havnt played a tournament in 2 years...might have to callt hem and ask them to send me some of the new K Factors for free lol (very sweet rackets by the way) As for the French Open I think Nadal is going to win...I know thats a lmae prediction but it is pretty clear cut...81 straight wins on clay (until broken by Fed last week)....I was really hoping James Blake would do well but he blew chunks this tournament although I am pumped how Moya is playing....hes great and exciting to watch... Well, Nadal vs. Federer, great finale. I hope Nadal wins. Don't get me wrong, Federer is a great player, but for me Nadal is the best. His tennis is just spectacular.
So all eye set on Nadal vs. Federer match on Sunday and I hope this time Federer win the French open and make a history.
I thought this one will be on Roger but he's missed it again... I am not such a Federer fan it's more likely that I really don't like Nadal... After Ivanisevic's retirement I've been watching tennis less then before. Now I only watch it if Ljubicic, Karlovic or Ancic manage to catch the finals...
