It isn't. There are many people who have the wrong idea that Topsites actually bring in traffic and do something other than lag the proxy page with their buttons. Than again, people spat on you if you offered to exchange links in the early 90's. Some are just more progressive and understand that Topsites are useless. I can think of, maybe one massive topsite that will give you some traffic, and then you have to have amazing traffic to get listed near the top to get the traffic.

Time on Site Visits per continent Americas: 3,867 Asia: 1,628 Europe: 1,239 Oceania: 1,208 The only advertisement i've made was in proxy.org and in one mailling list.
I surely hope not.... Even if there are, people will make proxies to get around the proxies... No government in the world can stop us webmasters!!!
Just to answer your question, for highschoolers the summer starts for some this wednesday and for some in about 2 weeks. It ends in the beginning of september. So make your proxies like september 1st and you should be perfectly fine Thanks Mike
Wrong. Make them on September 1st, and you've got a bunch of proxies that noone knows about. The known ones that have built up their popularity and SEOs over the summer, such as my network will be doing. This way, I'll own the 50,000 late bloomers.
Well you can do that, but at the schools I know of the IT department searches for proxies right b4 the school year begins. So making all your proxiesover the summer- bad idea, but if you make some over the summer, then create 2 or 3 new ones per day at the beginning of the year would be better

I guess the main reason why people come back to our proxies are: » Speed (no one wants a proxy with took 20secs to open) » No popups (is annoying to have a pop-up in every page we browse)
i agree with sspt as far as sspt is concerned but sspt i am not sure if you are correct as far as those popups are concerned i have met many of huge proxy network owners who are doing wonders with there popup earnings anyways personally i find those popups really annoying guarav
well I would agree popups are annoying to say the least. But proxies are a free service and people that use them to get around the rules. When you break rules you usually have to work harder then if you werent breaking them, but you want to so you do it. That being said I think people are more tollerant of them, becuase they are already working hard, they just have to close a few popups. Personally I see popups kind of as a neccessary evil. I dont like them, but they pay for my dedi box and then some. And I am sure that I don't even utilize every oppotunity I get. I simply use adversal on the proxified pages. That way everything I make from adsense is pure profit. As for traffic that is subjective, I have had a drop the past few weeks, but I have just had to go out there and work harder at adverstising. Overall with my teams daily work on getting traffic we are only about 15% shy of where we were during the school year, and I believe that we can reach that number again and even surpass it yet this summmer. Needless to say when school starts again we stand to reach even higher stats. So long as its up and to the right Im happy. Just my two cents. Matt
Might want to gather upto 2 months of profits to keep yourself running throughout the summer. If you survive that, and stay online, your proxy will carry on increasing and getting known.
