You are all generalizing Americans too much. Plus, you rely on the image of Americans from what you are watching on mainstream media. We are all like you, immigrants...we all fight, we all love, live and polute.

We for instance actually love the world and every American is proud to say "Hey! My ancestors came from England...Germany, Lebanon, Iran, Italy, Ireland" In fact we now how more Irish than Ireland does :)

Some views of the world are twisted by what the world elite want you to believe. Nobody common actually for a fact thet know exactly what is going on in the world.

When Yassar Arafat died, many Jewish politicians came to mourn...even though I thought for sure they hated the guy.

I'm willing to bet that the President of Iran is probabbly out at some shopping mall in Dubai with Yitzak Rabin finding a new pair of shoes to wear the next time they appear on CNN.

I make it my own policy to treat everyone I meet with dignity and respect. Poop on the world depiction of the world from the media.

Very very well said. Especially the bit about China invading the US. And its not just about the WMDs, the same schizophrenia kicks in with conventional arms and even political dealings.

Look at the reaction of the US government (Dick Cheney) over China's interest in Africa.

If everyone would get on board with all the great conspiracy theories such as Bush being a reptilian, we would all finally be living in reality.

Big difference in keeping quiet and having absolute hatred for your country.

Again, voicing your opinion and unsatisfaction is one thing, spewing total hatred and lies about your country is another.

    Ohhh, you mean like this
But that is all propaganda, they set those poor musims up. There is no such thing as muslims trying to kill Americans. Because muslims are just peaceful and misunderstood.

I have made it out a few times, I wasn't impressed. I would like to visit Australia though, but it's too far away and too expensive to get there.

Man made global warming is a myth pushed by socialist scum.

It's also why our healthcare is the best in the world IF you ca afford it. Problem is many can't afford it. But turning to socialized medicine isn't going to fix anything, it's just going to degrade the quality of our healthcare.

Tell ya what, all the poor people that we have treated so bad by incarcerating, we will shit them to your country and you can give them all a second chance there. I just love when idiots complain that we have the largest population of inmates. What do you suggest dipshit? That we just don't punish these people? Just say "oh hey, you killed 3 people or you robbed a bank, but thats fine, you're free to go sir".
    Don't be such an idiot.

We also drive the world's economy as well. I fail to see your point here. So you'd like us to produce less and make more people poor so you can feel better about the situation?

So its only FREE if criminals are walking around? Okay.

How many poor kids have you fed today and lifted out of poverty?

    Typically simplistic, I'm sure.

Reminds me of people who go into McDonald's and order a super-duper-whooper big mac meal and then order a diet coke, the diet coke is pretty much immaterial compared to the whacking great meal!! Yet, it has to be a diet coke and the biggest meal available. Now thats false reality ;)

I think his point is that the statement 'the richest country in the world' is meaningless and allows people to ignore the real problems that face millions of americans.

The US has the same problems as every other nation, and some that are unique to the US. Its a shame these issues aren't exciting enough to be of a concern to the rest of the US.

Terrorists and child killers are alot more exciting :)

You presuppose that it is everyone's job to ensure poor people are given money. If you are concerned that people are poor/homeless, no one stops you from buying them an apt or home, getting them a job, or feeding them. Are you doing that? If not, why not? Caring about these "real problems" doesn't do anything. Go out and help someone, if you want. That's good advice, right?

My post was nothing to do with money. I doubt you have any idea of what these problems are.

I bet you thing terrorism is america's biggest problem

P.S. Helping 100 people will benefit those 100 people only; the real challenge is to change the society and systems that create those problems habitually.

Please expound on what system creates the problems? And how its the "system's" fault and not the individuals who are responsible for their own problems?

I'd stop trying to think for me, if I were you. You aren't very good at it ;)

I sincerely question your level of intelligence. This hasty generalization is based on your own speculative assumptions and nothing more.
What's more ironic is that you have described yourself in your own critical post.

    Which problems?
I saw you struggling to think for yourself so I naturally intervened.

Your role is to perpetuate the notion that the only problems that exists in the world are outside of the US. You do a great job at that ;)

Now you are suppose to tell me that I'm anti-american, negative, more talk than walk, terrorist lover, and a moonbat? Maybe a homo too

Why are you answering me with questions. Clearly you have ideas as to which system you refer to and what problems it creates. Please, do enlighten us and offer solutions. Don't be coy.

What did I tell you about thinking for me? You are doing a poor job :(

Because I don't take you seriously, I don't feel obliged to answer your questions. I'm familiar with your straw-man argument routine.

If you take a look at the thread title you will see that it is a question, you have not contributed anything other than confirming that America has a 'high' GDP.

You are in this thread to yap at the heels of those who dare have a negative opinion of anything American. Yap yap.

Instead of quoting and replying to other peoples opinions, why not just make a post using your own thought.

    Yappity yap yap.

I also debunked the everyone in America lives in trailers argument. I think I completely debunked the entire economic argument, actually.

And you come in whining about "problems" and how they are "society's" fault. And won't specify which problems you refer to and how society has caused the problems in other people. And I've given several opportunities.

I think I keep asking you to do the same thing. I've done so. Why won't you expound as to how the problems and your cures; like I've asked a few times? Embarassed or just trying to sound cool? Which is it?

Hmmm, you are one American who does live in a false reality.

Hey idiot, I told you why I don't feel obliged to answer you questions.

    Read and remember:

Its because you construct a straw-man argument and I don't take you seriously.

Or justify your beliefs, I suppose. That's convenient isn't it. Pretty mean of you, depriving us if your solutions to our "problems" and explaining why our "society" is to blame for it all. Harsh; just beause you don't take me seriously.

I'm sorry, but it looks like you are the one who set up a straw man here.
Look at post #25; Lorien has already made a refutation. You have simply resulted to an ad hominem argument.
