I have a question: Blending Google Adsense with an image backrgound, is it against TOS? I wrote an article about it because I found a blog that has wome really nice blending technique.
hmm.... interesting. I'd like to know more about this. best way is of course asking directly to google
I've done something like that on one of my sites (7+months ago) and was never called by G. on it. I like it. It's a nice alternative to the 'blending' idea, and it looks great. Please keep us posted about your results using it.
no i dont believe it is against the TOS, if you read their help guides they kindof suggest doing it, as they say that for some sites blended ads work and for some ads that stand out work
Actually I'm making some experiments with multiple color adsense ads. After that I will try to blend name with an image background. Check my blog out for updates
Maybe I didn't understand correctly: you mean ad's background color same as page's background color. I don't think it matters what the background it. And anyway isn't that what blogger does automaticaly with the adsense ad units, if you choose "blend template" or whatever it's called? I don't think it matters if the website's background is a plain 1-color or 2-color background or a whole image, if you manage to mix the ads ok with the background, paying attention as not to alter the code or have the ad units near "critical" parts of the image (I mean parts that could allign with the ads, giving the impression they are related to them) then why not? On the other hand, if you mean making the background completely transparent, so that the underlying image can be seen unaltered, this isn't something you can do using the normal code, so, it should be against TOS.
