Lets say that a take a link and I blend it into the background of the template color, so you cannot visibily see it, will that link get a backlinks from me?

 

Yes, but Search Engines don't like such practices, so maybe the site with the link (and maybe the site linked too) could be penalized on Search Engines Rankings.

 

The site with the link are in danger of being even banned from Google if you do it. You can "hide" links for people just by putting them in the lower right corner, people never go there anyway.

Well lets say I blend it in so its still visible but like you have to really focus your eyes to see, or what if I make it like size .05 size and not blend it in.

 

that's called as hidden links, and it is black hat! your ranks in search engines will get a major set back, if you do anything like that!
hidden links, or linking with a [.] etc, so that people don't understand, on my forum i saw a link on a smile[] these practices will get your site banned, make contextual links, quality text based links!

Very bad, then you will maybe destroy for the ones that use the template. If webmasters discover that, you will certainly pay, they will take revenge, be sure of that. That site/domain linked to will get in trouble.

Secondly, the hidden links will not help you, the SE`s are not stupid anymore.

 

Yes they do count as backlinks but you'll get penalized for them.

Nah, I seriously decided not to do that. I can get the people who used the template banned from google, and well if it was my own ass, then I would do it, but if its going to effect other people, then better to not do it.

Dude, just sponsor a few word press themes, and put your link right out in the open in the footer.

 

I would rather buy a template, get 3 people to sponsor, include my site link there as copyright, and there you go.
