I have added a refer a friend page to my free lease form & landlord newsletter affiliate mini site to try to get some viral traffic going. This is my first attempt at this viral traffic technique. Please review. http://www.thinwebs.net/Free-Rental-Lease/Free-Lease-Form.htm If you are into REI you will find value in the free lease and tips/tricks newsletter as well. I added this feature after listening to a podcast done by Heater Vail for Brad Callen. Post a reply if you would like a link for the podcast. I got quite a bit of web 2.0 traffic generation information out of the podcast and would be very happy to share. Thanks in advance.
I agree. I also think that the frame is a bad idea, personally I don't like them. The form could also do with being tidied up e.g) Aligned etc...
The header neads work.. try centering all of the text and making the slogan a bit smaller. For the text in your content area, ad some bold and color to font to key terms.
Hey Friends, i'm not so big on frames either but the pay per lead form (see http://www.mrlandlord.com/mllshop/arsubscription.html?rideswitchzxzz49comcast.net) is boring and ugly to begin with anyway so I was trying to do something, anything with it to sign up subscribers. It's a good product and it's free. Then I added adsense to the left side where the auction ads currently are, but then adsense dumped me b/c i'm "affiliated" with my brother and he was banned months ago. Shame too b/c I was just starting to make some click money. That's a whole other issue. Apparently google hates me b/c they banned my bro and he and I work together. Isn't their slogan "don't do evil"? That's kinda evil if you ask me. I know the whole page is kinda ug but the point is to get people to fill out the form right not get a boner over my header graphics. I want to try to rank for "free rental lease form" so that's the deal with the header being H1 and H2 text. I was hoping to get some feedback on the "refer a friend" function and how to improve on it to get some viral traffic going. Any ideas on that? I'm not so concerned with the "boner factor" as I am with the page load time on the refer a friend page. I record one hit to an access db on page load and I think it's choking on it a little. Anyone else getting a slow load time there?
hmmm, with all the winkies i'm not sure where you are coming from but thanks for your input... I invite anyone with viral marketing experience to help me out with this one. According to my db there has been zero referrals. I'm suprised b/c the free ebooks are good products for REIs. How about this, could someone put in a fake address or two to just test out the form for me? I have tested it from home and it works good but I need real user testing... thanks guys... oh, i'll rep anyone that helps me out on this one...
