Creation Museum Controversy

Like most natural history museums, this $25 million museum in rural Kentucky has exhibits showing dinosaurs roaming the earth. Except here, these dinosaurs share the forest with Adam and Eve and the story of Creation in the Bible is presented as literal fact.

    From the Creation Museum site:

Over 4,000 people came through the doors of the Creation Museum on the first day the one-of-a-kind facility was open to the public. According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, “The museum opened at 10 a.m. with about 500 people in line and with license plates from 31 states and two Canadian provinces in the parking lot of about 600 spaces.”

it's a private institution; it can teach what it wants. the museum isn't the controversy. fine if creation v evolution is; but the two are distinct.

How can you say they are distinct and different? It's teaching Creationism, which is a controversial viewpoint and subject... "shrugs"

It's a private institution. No one is forcing anyone to go. If you don't want to hear their viewpoint, don't go. End of discussion, isnt it?

If it were part of an educational system or government funded, that'd be a lot different.

I was glad to hear they opened it. You walk into Sydney Museum and you first must pass a sign that says "evolution is a FACT" - no bias there!!

We get enough of same sex marriage, alternative lifestyles and other similar crap thrown at us all the time.

Be nice to come across a place that promotes family, God and ethics.

I'd like to see more museums present different opinion, not just on creation, but also history.
