I won a contest for $ 300. The owner says he will pay via international check only. Now, I reside in India[Bangalore].

    1. Can I encash the international check at any bank or only where I have an account ?

    2. How much charge is levied for encashing the international check ?

    3. How long will it take to reach Bangalore ?

I am thinking of asking him to send them check to a person in the US as he is from US too. Then the US guy can send the 300 $ to my Paypal a/c, so there won't be any fees.

    Isnt this a better idea?
