why is Google buying out every living company that is already successful, is their anything Google cant afford? as everyone knows Google has probably grossed over many billions of dollars per year, thats amazing" I think oprah is right under Google, when will this become relevant to all of us online gurus trying to cash in" Google buys feed distributor Feed Burner this is noted as a major conglomerate probe"
Its called inexperience, commonly historically recorded as greed We can buy it so lets buy it, as it might actually be worth something
I'm not really surprised by this move, they do have Google Reader, so the whole RSS "mindset" is within Google. It's only going to be a matter of time until the SEC has to chime in with anti-trust laws because Microsoft will whine and complain because they're not doing so well online. The more stuff they buy, the less likely they will be paying dividends on stock =).
It's called expanding your business and expanding your profits to benefit shareholders, its not greed. Google has alot of companies but their are private equity firms out their with profolios that make googles look like small change.
I some what disagree" Google has to buy everything in order to keep name brand" I mean think about it" ebay works with Google in mass marketing distribution sales" I'm getting closer to the Google niche and buying tactics much to learn in such little time" the owner of ebay has a vacation home 20 miles away from me
I believe the Feedburner acquisition has little to do with an application like Google Reader. I believe that Google want to: (a) leverage Feeds as an advertising means (Feedburner already has an advertising business on top of feeds) (b) Leverage feeds to bring more traffic to blogs>>increase page views>>Increase Adwords revenue. My 0,02, Gili
gillie I agree theirs much to made in this that is the powerful way google plays" when it comes to blogs adwords and of course your theory on revenue" I think we are seeing more of a power play concerning Google" Thats good insight on all of thee above I wonder what company they will buy next
