My wrist started hurting because of clicking of the mouse, I ask my supervisor if I can install this software so I don't need to click. She said I need to file worker comp, in order to do that, should I file it? Will it be a problem in the future for my next job?
Is this software recommended to protect wrists? Is that its purpose? If it is, I would ask your supervisor again in writing, and if accurate, indicate that you do not feel like you are injured but would like to avoid an injury and you need protective products (and specify what ever it is you think you need: software, wrist guard, pad, etc)
you can use some pad under your wrist to protect it, not sure why u wana use software, my wrist also hurts sometimes..
I am right handed my hands also hurt perhaps carpel tunnel syndrome though i have trained myself to control the mouse using my left hand at first it was difficult but now its pretty natural to me.
Its high time you take care of your wrist. The angle of positioning your wrist while working on the mouse is important. You have to change or adapt to proper mouse handling procedure. Also if you are over working then please take breaks in between as you work. This will give rest to your wrist. By this way, you are tackling your wrist issue in a natural way.
