I am getting 600+ impressions daily but 0 clicks recorded. Is this natural for a new site ?

    The point is:

Do you have submitted your website to search engines? In this case, the impressions of your page depend by the submission. They don't count.

Which kind of advertising are you doing for your website?

Impressions are nothing. Unique visitors count!

I'd assume with 600 impressions you would get at least one click. Either bad optimization or a majority of the impressions are caused from the same person.

Sorry! i forgot to mention that it is a PR4 site with over 500 uniques daily. i was using Adengage earlier and received around 12 clicks daily.

my friend accidentally clicked on my ad (public service ad) and i was amazed to see even that click is ignored and only the impression was counted.

Sounds fishy. I'd like to get 600 impressions a day though that'd be great.

I don't think a click on a public service ad counts as a click, as you don't get paid for it.

But with 600 impressions, you should get some clicks.

Did you double check your adsense code?

    Hi fusionmx,

you don't seem to keep your visitors on your site for too long: 600+ impressions caused by 500 (?) unique visitors? That's roughly 1.2 impressions per visitor...

You may not have entered the correct details or edited your adsense pub code wrong in error. Depends on your placements, you should have had at least 6 clicks......

What is the source of your traffic. If it is from traffic generators, as I am guessing then it's natural.

    * check the ads if they are related or not. if adsense is showing unrelated ads block them from the adsense panel

600 is a lot of impressions not to get any clicks. How is the optimization of the ads?

My traffic source varies. I have around 160 returning visitors and others are from Google. I am also running a bidvertiser campaign :)

that doesn't sound right. I get a few clicks with less than 30 unique visitors a day. So 600 impressions and no clicks doesn't sound right
