well, they could always use multiple accounts. sign up for 20 accounts and then all they need to do is automate the login and posting of 100 posts per account each account posting 30-40 a day, it could be done but i would hate to see it happen :(

lol if that would be done..then i think DP will be dead ;-)....but we could have like a mod installed that would for example raise a red flag if a user has posted more than say 70 posts per a day..unless...after reviewing you find that they are all not spam..but useful posts ;-)..

is there a mod of that sort already installed??just curious..

No there isn't a mod like that, but if there was it was going to keep on raising the red flags because of 8everything lol.

Someone in this other thread said one of the DP members could bid on that site and win the bid and then get the users username and report it to the mods.

Well its not easy to make 2000 posts in few days without spamming and with average bid of $40.

How those bidder offer such a low Bid? :D

There may be some silly posts coming up but as mentioned before, we know who make the good posts and the bad.......

Well no one can know who will take it. If someone have a account in this site than he can find it who is bidder.

yup. I agree with you here..

Typically, even if you do posts at rate or 9 cents per post, then its $180/2k posts

We're gonna see lots of spam posts this june! :D:p

I wonder if a person is allowed to login on same DP account at the same time using multiple computers.Like I can login skype on multiple pcs on same time.If this s allowed, then that person can hire few posters at same time and thee will be flood of posts.

Hm, that would be unsafe giving away your DP pass also to get the post.

I think you're all missing the point here, which means you're missing the obvious solution.

This is happening because DP allows sig link sales. All you really have to do is restrict signature links to sites owned by the member - if you don't own the site, it's a rule violation -> infraction. Frankly, the fact that this rule doesn't already exist amazes me. If there's any doubt, the onus is on the member to prove the site in the sig link is his.

    Problem solved.

Not a bad idea, but who is going to keep track of tens of thousands of signatures ? ;).

I suggest a more stringent infraction policy. Senior members (those with more posts) should actually get longer duration infractions for violations...new members will always make mistakes, but experienced members should have no excuses.

Another cure could be strict no signature policy for anyone having even a single infraction point.

I agree with minstrel. That is the only solution to the problem.

Mods can't just start giving infractions to high posters because that will penalize legitimate posters and ultimately cause a loss of members.

Stop the selling of sig links or win the bid and find out who the person is. Of course, then someone else will try it and it starts over again.

I am not saying that infractions should be given for posting frequently...

I am saying if a senior member gets an infraction, it should last longer.

If somebody hasn't learnt the rules after 3000-5000 posts, he/she is a moron and should be penalized more severely than someone with 10-20 posts.

LOL this is just insane. I would not sell my account for anything.

By the time someone has posted 2000 posts on DP he might have learnt enough not to handle over his account for $30 to $100 :D

Hmm very true.. I find it quite shocking when someone with 6k posts post silly short threads  like a peon would. Those infractions should indeed last longer or be worth much more.

Anyways, there's no "easy" way to run up 2k posts without getting tons of infractions :p

I have made it to 2400+ without any infraction ever...there are people on DP with 5000+ posts who have never got an infraction...I guess minstrel may be one. :).

Another things it that if someone hire someone to post here and if that guy post 2000 posts here he will do it for finishing his job not to contribute any thing in this forum so that can be find out by moderator easily as there will be lot of spam by that member and if he have to finish the job he will try to do it fast as it will be headache for him, so i think now after reading this thread moderator job is becoming more tough here to maintain the contents quality of DP. I can say just all the best to them.
Another thing is that we as members do not want to happen this thing in DP so we also have to take care that if we see someone making lot of posts without any reason and small posts which are meaningless and making spam so we should report to moderator or admin about that.
    Thank you for your time.

I meant for people who have to get 2k at a certain amount of frame time.. if they can post quality posts.. then good .. a contribution to DP. But :p I would be expecting a lot of short pointless spammy posts :p
