Anime isn't all bad, the problem is the Anime people generally see is often associated with Loli (Young Girls) , Hentai (Cartoon Porn), Echhi ( Perverted Cartoons but not Porn), and Racial Stereotypes (Generally older Animations from the 1960s - 1980s where characters are drawn to look more ethnic). These series by no means describe what Anime really is, it is honestly a very wonderful thing, most Anime comes from what is called Manga (A Type of Comic) , also alot of these series are actually geared at adults, the way stories are told and plot lines deepen are something we simple can't get in American series. SuperMan, Batman, and Flash(well not flash he keeps dying) simple won't die, they keep retelling the same story over and over and also series are alot more censored and I don't mean in terms of just the drawings I also mean the way authors express themselves. Anime and Manga artist generally express themselves fully in there work, they freely assert there points but in our society if you say something unfavorable or something that might possible spark contravercy your studio will refuse to print it and give you a warning. Another great thing about Anime and Manga is that people actually die and stay dead, series take place in a real world enviroment, they are deep and deal with real issues and I don't mean an after school special theme. Anime and Manga allow people to travel to places they have never been to before, see things they have never seen, meet people they would never have known and see life through the eyes of many different people, you are able live in many different times and places all without ever leaving the comforts of your own home, thats what Anime and Manga truly are. They are freedom that gives you wings to fly beyond the borders of imagination.
