With so many proxies coming up every day, I am wondering how big is this market? What kind of traffic people get per site?
mate the market of proxy is surely increasing day and night and i can surely say that coz the firewalls companies have shown 23.8% boom in sales in Q1 2007 in comparison to total sales in 06 so you can imagine how many new users will be needing to use this service well thats what i know gaurav
You voted 2000+ uniques a day...which host are you currently using? My host couldn't handle 150 a day.

I get around 500 Uniques a day. As a Proxymaster with a network, I'll tell you to stay out. As a goodnatured person, I'll tell you to stay out for the summer. You'll surely sour your proxy experience with dead summer traffic.

Yes, many guys around are complaining that proxy traffic has died in recent weeks. I guess it will pick up again once schools and colleges resume their sessions. Meanwhile I, along with a friend have made a proxy topsite ..in a way it gives an idea about proxy traffic trends. Please submit your proxy sites to it. .
Very big and saturated with everyone using two scripts. Be unique and you will go far and stand out. It will slowdown in the summer since the majority of the visitors will be out of school and away from the blocks. My proxy got 1000-2000 uniques per day but I only own topsites now.

Proxy site lets you browse. Proxy topsite is for proxies, to get some traffic. They are virtually useless. Sorry for the advertisement, but go to www.proxyusers.net. It's a terrific source for everything you need to know about proxies.
if ur serious bout proxies dont mess around with shared hosting. jump straight to a vps or dedicated box. i started as vps but need more bandwidth and cpu and now have a dedicated.
but(!), there's nothing really to test about it. there's so much opportunity to make money from it it's ridiculous. now, this is my first summer with a proxy, so im holding my breath on how the traffic will be. alot of kids have year round school, but most don't.
The market is very much alive and would continue to be alive as well..!! about server... if you want to make real money... you need a didi box. thats just inevitable. Its correct that design isnt of much use... but still there is something about being a popular proxy... and for that you need a gr8 (maybe unique) design!! And, i'd soon have something very nice for all proxy owners!! (hint: my avatar!)
You don't make much money with proxies and people with adsense are getting banned everyday. Mail me for more info. I only make $25/day and I haven't been sent a warning yet.
Im not sure, but i think keyproxy.info is against Googles TOS sachin410 Isnt there a rule about number of ads in top half of page, as well as other ads at the bottom of the page?? Back on point: The proxy market is massive, though I think there will be a slump in the next month when summer starts....probably not the best time to start out in the proxy world.
I am not sure why you feel there is a TOS violation.. There is nothing in Google's program policies or TOS that says a site cannot have (two ad units + one link unit) on the top half of the page. Those at the bottom are "links" to other top sites and not advertisements (The publisher does not get paid to display them).
