People say this mysterious "click bombing" thing happens when somebody doesn't like you and they keep on clicking your ads, manually, or with an automated program. I challenge you to provide evidence of 1 single person getting kicked out of adsense with the reason "click bombing". I don't want to hear from some crybaby that was probably doing something wrong anyway, and when they got banned cried "click bombing". I want an honest person to point to some real evidence. I would think because people are so crazy paranoid about this mysterious "click bombing" around here, providing at least one solid piece of evidence that google bans people for "click bombing" should be pretty easy. If no real evidence shows up, we'll call click bombing a myth and move on. Thanks ;-)
Yeah, I wonder about click bombing. I'm always scared someone might do that and then I'll be banned from adsense.
I have been worried that when sites show to much progress and potential google bans them? Call me pessimistic but maybe its because they are earning too much money and google does not want to pay them in the future? its possible. We can't argue with it its in the tos.
Look no further, I was banned after my rival clicked about 500 times on the ads. Google does ban you in click bomb case. In case, you think contacting adsense team helps, it doesn't. I contacted them two times before I got banned, telling them every bit I know about suspicious IPs and activities, but eventually I got banned. 45n5, if you believe click bomb is a myth, I will demonstrate on your account. I can go to your website and generate 100 clicks for you for free, see if Google will ban you or not. Agree? You're pretty much ignorant after all these threads and posts about "banned from click bombs". What a pointless thread...
I've noticed that figure that my AdLogger statistics (a precautionary measure) displays are at times different than what Adsense's reports exemplify. I'm not certain why, but perhaps Adsense doesn’t record multiple clicks from an identical IP address. I'm confident it's their fraud preventative system at work, unless someone else can explain the discrepancy.
Adlogger will normally count more clicks than Adsense due to the mouse-over effect. If your cursor goes over the ads and Adlogger is installed, it will count it as a click when it really isn't.
@brandnewx Dude, why do you want to get personal? I simply asked if it was a myth. If you want to make threats please do it somewhere else. Thanks.
I had something like very little click bomb (short time, unusual high ctr etc...) and nothing happend. I think they are not so stupid, to ban for things like that. But as they work as global company, they don't look at you as person, but just as another customer.
i think still Google couldn't solve the click bombing problems , thats why some one got banned now a days. Why Google cant solve ? we have to give some suggestions Just only one idea here to solve this issue, count the clicks only 3 or 4 times from one IP within 1 hour , "but if someone change the IP before each clicks" ? nothing cant do ...!
At the end of the day, if Google wants the success of Adsense to continue, it must safeguard it's publishers more, because if no-one displays the ads then Adsense is worthless. It would seem so easy for Google to put safeguards in place. If they have the information to decide if a clickbomb has occurred, then they also have the ability to screen it out without any danger to the publisher. I think this has to come.
I think he is just offering you the evidence you asked for. You seemed quite confident that it was a myth before.
Well for one thing we CAN'T prove it, as Google wont tell you the EXACT reason you were banned due to the proprietary nature of their alogrothim. But I can tell you, people have been banned for "invalid clicks", thats as close to click bombing as you can get, if you have a different word for it let me know.
That's an ugly thought, really. Somebody could take you out of AdSense "business" without any notice. Just starts to click on your ads, well, in this case you should have a backup plan for your revenue streams since from this point of view, Google is not safe enough.
I was bombed once. I knew about it and informed google. Still they banned me and I appealed. The fact that I have reported it earlier helped me to get it reinstated.
