Yeah Ottawa is scaring me off. Will they choke again this year, even so close to the goal?

It just amazes me how a damn good team they are and how they can always find a way to puke out when games are of greater importance.

I mean they have the team to win the Cup, but for some strange reasons they never play as well as they are able to in playoffs.

    It's getting ridiculous...

berk... Yes California must be a great place... but there should never have an hockey team there, neither any places where it's sunny all year long.

These people don't even care about their team, they just have a team because they have the budget to afford it.

Did you ever attended a Montreal Canadiens in Mtl? People there are crazy about hockey, and it shows.

Hey it's only sunny in the day time and most games are played at night! Remember that California has about 30 million people and about 20 million have arrived since the Kings got here so many arrive here with hockey in their blood.

Speaking of Montreal, whats up with the original six? Only one franchise is determined to succeed? Maybe the NHL should set up a relegation system like the English Premier League and send underperforming teams down. Montreal, Toronto, Chicago and Boston could be sent down to a league with Moose Jaw for a year and maybe they'd get serious.

it's not a canada vs usa affair!!! it's stupid.... a lot of players in the both teams are europeans...... is it really a canada vs usa contest? defenetively not!

I'm canadian and i'm not claiming to be a fan of ottawa anymore, but 'Vermette' one of their players is coming from my city : Québec! I think I hope for ottawa and vermette to win this cup, but it's now 2-0 for anaheim :(

Let's be serious, there are worse teams than Montreal and Toronto. The Toronto market is hotter than any market even when they play like shit and ticket prices are the highest in the league so no one is sending them anywhere :p

Yeah they have looked better, but you never know. With this win Ottawa might get the jump they've needed.

Ottawa is looking like a pre-97 Red Wings team (and a number of other years since then). Great in the regular season but not the gritty, ugly team that tends to win Cups now.

This loss for the Ducks isn't as bad as the 5-0 loss to Detroit when they lost Pronger and went on to win the series. I hate to say it, but it looks like the Cups first official visit to the L.A. area isn't going to be with the Kings.

Eeeehh... yeah obviously. You knew what I meant.

And about the original six, they are the root of the NHL so a little bit of respect please.

I do respect the original six, I don't like seeing the cup hoisted by Carolina, Tampa, and other new franchises. What original six team is showing a commitment to winning the Cup besides the Wings? None.

Yeah you're right tbarr60. The Wings are the only one that comes close to it.

But I also think that the Wings have the best team compared to the other five. The others, even if they were showing a commitment to win the Cup, they just don't have enough talented players to win it, at least in my opinion.
