It sucks that I can not fly on my own power, it sucks that I can not eat what ever that I like without getting fat, it sucks that I get old but that is life and no amount of law can change it. The simple fact remains that a fetus is in the woman body and as long as it is there, it is part of her body and her decision and no law should take away her control over her body. If you and other "fathers" really dislike this then you should find a way to get knocked up yourself or have a decent relationship with a woman that you are going to get pregnant, so she would not make such decisions without consultation with you.
You sound like an unwanted child. In the whole thread it shines through that you have some frustration sitting deep inside of you. Did your mom miss the deadline for your abortion?
You know a discussion is doomed when delusional people with imaginary friends from secret government agencies start to post in it. Have you taken your medicine yet?
You basically keep saying the same thing which is "it's her body, it's her right to choose" Do you not think that a women makes a choice to possibly get pregnant before having sex? also if she gets pregnant then how is a baby forced upon the women? It seems to me most pro-choice people are just selfish & don't want responsibility that comes with their actions. I want sex & no babies (even though i knew that was a possibility)
I think it's ok, but I really hate those who do it! On the other hand, if the parents don't have the money and time to take care of their child then it's better to avoid having one. No wonder why some small kids steal from the stores and do other 'bad' things... And of course, there are many different religions and every religion has its own opinion, but since I'm a European girl, I think this should be allowed. Women rights!
I didn't read that part of the article. maybe i missed here it said that. can you please copy and paste it? They can only study at 25 weeks b/c thats the earliest they had premature babies to study. they obviously don't study inflicting pain on babies inside the whomb since that would be cruel. The point is that fetusus can feel pain. But if a 25 week old preme could feel pain then perhaps a 20 week old could. maybe 12. It is hard to prove, but why take the chance? also, since we know the FOR SURE feel pain at 25 weeks do you completely agree that 25 weeks should be a cutoff for abortion according to your intrepretation of the article...
I also basically keep saying that: Democracy is good, Freedom of speech and religion is good,.... Just because I keep saying it, it doesn't make it wrong. If a person should not have the right to decide over her own body then who has that right? Do you have it or government have it? If you have it, who made you God that should decide over these things? If government has the right to decide over other people's body then what happens if government decides that they should castrate you for the benefit of the society, are you OK with it?
Did you actually read the article? And that is generally considered the cutoff for abortions...I did copy and paste the relevant section of the article, in an attempt that people who wanted to find out could look at the article, without me having to clog up this page with quotes. But I will once again post the relevant section: No, it doesn't say "we have studied babies from 25 weeks onwards and that is when they feel pain" it says "since pain information is trasmitted from 25 weeks" Once person, doesn't prove a point, I hope that you can understand that. Then in reality, I don't think the post you were quoting fully proves your point. Since when did you get the right to criticise the rights of other women?
She does choose (she has the right not to be pregnant), nobody is forcing her to get pregnant. Do you not see this? I'm not taking away anyone's right not to be pregnant, i'm simply saying take responsibility for your actions instead of being irresponsible & creating something that is not wanted & just kill it.
Well I don't believe that attempting to decide how other people should live their lives is your right, thus I can criticise that and for the record, I do criticise that... You do not have the right to decide how other people should live their lives, considering you do not know their circumstances!
Your right, i can't decide how other pople should live their lives UNLESS they are HURTING (or killing) other people. then it takes people to speak up for those being hurt/ killed (especially when they can't speak for themselves). That's like saying we should have no police b/c people can't tell me how to live my life...
Did we not just cover the fact that the fetus it not hurt??? Do you not remember that? You posted an article, saying "premature babies feel pain" and in that article it said "babies don't feel pain until 25 weeks" and the cut-off for abortion is 24 weeks... The police follow the law, and uphold the law, so are you comparing yourself to a police officer? If you were, that would mean that you now support abortion...
i dont know why you have to kill a baby just because something "came out" when you were so busy doing the thing! just be responsible and ready to face the consequence!
Haha, that's a good one. Sorry, I know this is way off topic, but: http://youtube.com/watch?v=W4aVloVeqik
So i guess the killing part doesn't bother you unless someone feels it. So if you shoot someone in the head it should not be a problem for you... And i think you missed the point of the poiliceman statement. The point was is that we obviously don't say "people can do whatever they want. Diarmuid said we can't tell other poeple how to live their lives... forget it. it's not even worth explaining. it really was not a hard analogy to undertsand if you don't try to twist it around. i am prety sure everyone else understood the point...
