Well the title says it all, today i started getting some traffic from Google for my main keyword, but when i go to Google a check what position my site is on its not even on the top 100. how is this possible ? (traffic is nice, working its to being %50 of the traffic i receive)
Probably is from a browser with different options: language, country, ... You can look on your log file, and copy the referer string directly onto your url browser bar.

There are some indications that there is a potentially significant rolling update just beginning on Google. In any event, there has been more movement in many SERPs today than usual. When this happens, the changes take a while to migrate to all data centers. That probably accounts for the absense of your site in the serps from the data center being accessed in your locale. These things take time to sort themselves out. Bear in mind that Google often turns filters off during general updates so that you can draw no conclusions at all until the update is over. This isn't to say that there are not constant minor updates, but currently it seems to be more widespread. Drawing any solid conclusions about Google at all is a fools game at best. We'll all have to wait this out to see if it produces changes of any real magnitude.

You can see on your traffic stats if where does your traffic came from. Sometimes position with the keywords is not permanent. You can see it now and gone later.
