Is anyone using any other payment options on their directories? apart from the following: Paypal, Moneybookers, Stormpay, e-gold, 2checkout.

I added both of those the other day to one directory and will do it for my others too.

I agree that virtually all are going to use paypal, it always feels good though to offer them the choice.

The combination of PayPal, MoneyBookers & Egold covers almost anything. After that, you don’t really need anything else.

I have them since the beginning of Best Web Directory and so far, I only got one submission with Egold & 3 with MB.
(I was very happy when I received first submission with egold & MB ;) )

PayPal is the standard there but its always good to have other options.

Thanks malcolm, i should check those two out, if their similar to the others maybe i could get someone to create a mod for including them, like the other ones available, even though they can be rarely used, i guess its still good to offer the choice.

I agree Fastian, i do feel like payment options are well covered with those 3 and its true from what many say, that almost all payments are through paypal.

I will think things over anyway, for now i have paypal, e-gold and moneybookers too so i should be good for the time being.:)

I agree BUT do you want another google running around pushing themselves
on people and demanding this and that or they will shut you down?
    of course not....
Its better to make them all grow so none of them is too powerful ;)
and if paypal cutts your throat thiers others a the drop of a hat
BUT for that to happen you have to give them a chance to prove themselves
and make other webmasters aware that thiers other options.

    thx

you can get a mod for that, and if you want to code it yourself, there is a document on e-gold site on how to use it.

As for using xoom, the minimum requirement is 25$ for sending.

Yeah i think having google checkout would be good too.

vwnstar, i installed e-gold as an option on mine by using a mod available from VSDan, its part of a whole mods package.

deluxdon. true, many others say that nearly all payments are through paypal.

humm, Of course with the setup charge at 2C0, ive not done that yet but id like to include 2CO too in the future.

mann3r, thats a shame about there being the minimum charge at xoom.

malcolm1, a good point that you make about helping the smaller ones to grow, so that people dont all rely on one option for a certain part of their business process. And the risk of losing almost everything if an account is lost.

Im curious if anyone is using them as an additional payment option yet.

Xoom is not for accepting online payment. It's a money transfer system like Western Union ;)
