On the positive side he has been charged, has a defense lawyer and convicted in a court by a judge which is more than some people getting in USA.

It is unfortunate that in this day and age, there are still countries that have such stupid laws such as blasphemy but this is their right to have any laws that they decide to have. May be if USA stop supporting different dictators in that region, those countries people will have a chance to develop themselves and decide not to have such stupid laws.

It is difficult right now, I used to like a lot of things about American government for example low taxes, justice system and even some of it's foreign policy. I still like some of the Americans that have preserved the qualities that USA was known for but on the government side, the policies are mostly shit and unfortunately is effecting American culture too.
Thirty years ago, America was known as the land free and the brave where people believed they could do anything and were not afraid of anything. Today, the dominant culture is just bunch of cry babies afraid of foreign competition, immigrants and scary terrorists.
