Kobe isnt going no where..But if he does, I think the Sixers might have a shot, not with players, but draft picks, 3 first rounders to be exact..Although he wouldnt want to come here anyhow, the 76'ers suck.

Trading Kobe for Garnett wouldn't help anything. They would both be in the same situation, with losing teams.

Garnett and Kobe though would be awesome

    I like Garnett's loyalty

Actually, Garnett, Kobe, Wade, Lebron, Carmelo, Pierce, Duncan, Stoudemire, Nash, Parker, Josh Smith and McGrady to Indiana for the rest of the shithouse team

Well I guess Kobe decided to stay with LA until he decides to change his mind again.

Maybe they'll get Jermaine O'Neal and get to the seventh game of the first round.

I guess they'd have to figure out who's the big brother and who's the little brother, who's the better rapper, who's get the movie roles, who stands on the right when talking to the guy in the loud blazers, and who's team it is.

    LA has no hope.

Their point average 0.6 assist a game
Two big underachiever (odom and Brown)
    one teenage center
and one superstar who disapper when team need him

That's pretty accurate. They're looking more like Boston and New York, franchises with a great future behind them.

Back to the original question, what sort of trade could be made to move him or help the Lakers?

I started out by thinking "this trade can't be made". Given Bryant's contract the numbers are mind numbing. Then I thought , "Where there's a will. yada yada yada

To acquire him, a team has to be willing to give up a lot. Current players, future draft picks and money.

To keep him LA needs to acquire someone of almost equal caliber. That player will need to: know his place, see the bigger picture and be willing to give up the rock for the greater good.

So to vaguely answer your question, tbarr60, the sort of trade that can be made will most definitely be a win for LA and at best break even for the other team.

I would love to see him team up with Big Ben Wallace in Chicago or LA.

It depends on if Lakers want to rebuild.

If yes, trade him to knicks for steve francis, david lee and nate robinson and draft pick

    or
with Vladimir Radmanovic or brown to bulls for Deng, Gordon and Tyrus Thomas, then try to trade odom for a decent point

if not, get T-mac or PP, KG or Gilbert Arenas or terry +stackhouse + howard

How about Dirk + Terry for Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom + Bynum + Vlad for KG.

    Lakers = championship team :)

    How about:

Kobe gets traded to the Bulls, plays 2 years in CHI, opts out, takes a paycut and signs with the Lakers in 2009 for the MLE.

2009 roster: Kobe, mature Bynum, Odom, Farmar, Deng, Gordon, Nocioni, Thomas, Brown.

    I can dream, can't I? :p

Laker radio and fans think every star wants to come play with Kobe so they think they can get KG for Kwame, some dissapointing Soviet block jump shooter, a FatBurger gift card and the rights to Sedale Threet. Hey, it's not unrealistic, we're the Lakers!

Taken from another Lakers forum, some acceptable trades that make us young contenders.
