How do you convert a Word doc into an Ebook? I've found http://createpdf.adobe.com/?Language=ENU which will convert documents to a pdf over the web. Is that all I need or do I need some other compiler. Anyone have advice on how to go about publishing an ebook. Thanks
i'm doing an ebook arrangement for one client. i received .doc files and my team will add enhancements (graphics and cover page, headers, footers etc.) into it and the output is pdf. in this way, we will have a total control on the outcome of the book
You can also make E-book in exe file Anyway, if your e-book is in doc, pretty enought is doc - > pdf converter Good luck with promoting!

Hi, the trouble with these PDF convertors like createpdf.adobe.com and CutePDF etc is that the links are clickable only if they are in full http format, ie http://www.mysite.com is clickable but if you are using anchor text to mask a URL, the link is dead. If you are writing an ebook and using your affiliate link, it becomes messy and ugly, but instance, Check out this site http://XXXX.makemoneysecrets.hoplink.com....and people rightaway see this link and will never click. Obviously, if I mask it with anchor text, it becomes Check out this site "Make Money Secrets" where the anchor text Make Money Secrets is clickable and leads to the affiliate website. Fortunately, I found a very pro site that is free! http://convert.neevia.com/
1) forget all the "PDF converters"...there are even some free online ones. The Problem is that ALL of tehm dont convert right (at least for me). I also tried several standalone converter apps. They dont convert certain links in my texts to clickable links. The EASIEST way is if you use MS Word 2007 like i do, there is a plugin which is called "SaveAsPDFandXPS.exe" which is direclty fom Microsoft. You install this.and Bingo! you have an option to save ANY document you write in MS Word as PDF, 100% correct and quicker even that online converters. (otherwise i use https://www.pdfonline.com/convert_pdf.asp - its FREE to use.) 2) Get some free "ebook templates" and load it in Word. Looks good ! 3) Create a professional cover with an ebook-cover creater like "Virtual Cover Creator"
There are some free doc to pdf converters. I have tried a few free software of this kind. However they wont convert your links into a clickable form. So, it is better to use some profesional software. try a search in any search engine
I just learnt how to make an ebook on recommended money makers and launched it today in the freebies section for reviews. I am using http://convert.neevia.com/ Hope it helps
BUY/GET Acrobat Professional All this time you've tried converting when the industry standard tool is by far the easiest and best. Price Point or not - If you are serious about your publishing, only publish with the best. The linking is important if you are trying to get hops to merchant, and you cannot look unprofessional. Seriously, you should all invest/somehow 'get' a copy of Acrobat Professional, it'll be your best investment and can pay for itself fast (who knows by now you could have been selling it instead of searching for a secret 'does all' web-based tool)... just my 2 cents, i'm a very fond believer in utilizing the best resources possible to create/be creative/publish with. Cheers, NC
I recommend using OpenOffice.org too. The text-processing programme is infinitely better than bloody MS Word! And the built-in plugin to convert documents to PDF-format is really good. Of course, the plugin functionality isn't as extensive as Adobe Acrobat, but it's still considerably better than the free PDF-converters.
i dont understand you guys. Adobe Professional and similiar is all good, sure. But assuming someone already uses MS Office/Word 2007 to write....just download the plugin (as i described above)...dont even bother with converting since you can save as PDF right from Word ! OpenOffice is actually an option, but i never checked this out.
I agree with NCMedia. Acrobat Professional is a great tool. I definately recommend it to everyone interested in creating pdf files.
