I posted this in another forum, but it's probably better suited here. Hi Everyone, I'm fairly new to the site, mostly watching from the sidelines until very recently. I'm hoping to make a bit of cash online, but don't know where to start! I'm not great with words, blogs scare me . Proxy sites seem like an alright way to make some cash from what I'm reading. Would you guys recommend this as a starting point / learning experience? I know how to set up a domain with webspace, get some .php scripts up and running, and install sdsense. Also, would anyone be able to help / guide me through this learning period? I'd obviously be willing to give a lot of my earnings to that person as payment. Anyways, thanks for at least entertaining this e-mail. I hope to hear back from someone. -Yodies
If you have money enough to register about 4-6 domain names, you can make a bit of money... Just park the websites with Sedo.com You do not have to do anything with the site, other then advertise it. Dependind on the keywords, you can get anywhere from .50 cents per day to a few dollars, for each single site. I did it, and not making much money, but I don't want to develope them yet. You can see two parked sites at the bottom of mine... Sindicut.com I am also a newbie here, and this is my first post, but I hope it helps. Sorry about the no live links thing...
Ok, sorry to be a complete idiot, but how do I make money on a site with no content? And how do I advertise for that ? -Yodies
I can tell you how I got started. When I started, I didn't really know much of anything about Internet Marketing. I got started because I was a member of another forum where the wife of Travis, of Bum Marketing posted. She posted a link to Bum Marketing and told us that the e-course at Bum Marketing is completely free of charge. A user started a thread asking how to make money from home, and this lady posted a reply (which is where she posted the link). That was only about a month and a half ago, and I've since learned a tremendous amount of information about making money online. If I can do it, anyone can do it. Good luck!
You are going to have trouble making money online if you don't offer your visitors something of value.
Once my site is parked on Sedo.com , do I have to actively promote it at all? Or do they take care of all that also
No "kh7", this is not a set up conversation. Take your trolling elsewhere. These are honest and legit questions.
I don't know anything about proxies, but my advice to you is to start doing as much reading as you can at this point. When I was a newbie it was all about learning the basics. You can read articles, and download free e-books about making money on the internet.
Make loads of mistakes! It's the best way provided you learn from them! Get help solving your mistakes from experts on this forum. Getting started is half the battle. Just do something ...
If you want to make a site, make one of a subject that interest you. Then you will know what your visitors need and you will have happy visitors.
For practically zero money (other than your time) you can get going with affiliate marketing. Just go to clickbank and browse the marketplace for some decent products to promote. Although once you get going it's a bit better business model to start making your own products.
This is a nice start point for a newbie: http://www.seomoz.org/article/beginners-guide-to-search-engine-optimization
Start by investing in yourself. Don't buy a thing. Start reading what people who have done what you want to do actually do. All the info you want can be found for free. I highly recommend you learn what your getting into and invest in yourself before investing in an online business.
