Adsense Needs Work

You know adsense is a pretty good way to make money but once you are banned your totally screwed.

So why can't google just fix that and make it so only 3-4 clicks count from the same IP in one day per website. It would make google's job a lot less hard because less people would email them about click fraud.

    Thought's?

That would be the sensible suggestion, although I think maybe 1 click per IP per day is more realistic. It certainly wouldn't be beyond the technical scope of Google to achieve this. I think part of the reason they don't do this is because it's actually in their interests to keep invalid clicks as a handy banning excuse for those publishers they simply want to get rid of.

Click bombing is definitely an issue that Adsense needs work on. I don't feel 100% safe as one day it just might happen.

because a single click is possibly invalid and thus is possible to be a bannable offence.

If you ask people to click, and every IP on your site clicks at least once, then doesn't that mean invalid clicks?

Or on the flip side, what if somebody clicks 3/4 times? (Maybe its a forum and they have been on all day and have seen 3/4 relivant ads that they wish to investigate?)

Yes there is a point in this discussion .

What if google installs some sort of programs that after 3-4 clicks that ip becomes invalid for the next 24 hours or so. this way we will be sure thatwe are safe and we are not click bombed by our competitors.

I also think they should just limit clicks to 1 from same IP. This would make the life of fraudsters much, much more difficult.

They should definetely have some sort of IP frequency capping, agree with that for sure.

capping the number of clicks per i.p. will not work, because some organizations have hundreds of employees behind a single i.p. number.

so why ban all those legitimate clicks?

what is needed here is a far better review process from google, for publishers who are banned.

People are banned very rarely, and mostly coz of their own greed.

I'm currently being attacked by multiple IPs, loading my main page thousands of times an hour. I can't stop it, and it's been going on for quite awhile (1-2 months). I haven't yet been banned from adsense - they just don't count people trying to get me banned.

Thankfully my main page is only 3kB, or I'd be having bigger troubles =p

yes max clicks limit from the same IP needs to be fixed by google. Anyway they are not going disclose it to us as anyone can take advantage of it. :)

using the right mouse button is not fraud, and you don't have any way of knowing how many total page impressions that particular i.p. had.

if the scammer was really being fraudulent, he would have been smart enough to base those 21 clicks on a bunch of page impressions, not just 3.

do you people really think that google is too stupid to limit the clicks by i.p.? do you think that they just ignore the obvious? good grief.
