G-Bot hits indicator of future PR ?

I have noticed that over the last few weeks i've been getting more and more hits from the Google-Bot. Consistantly for at least the last month the bot has been eating 300-800 pages per DAY. before a month or two ago, the average was maybe 100 pages every day or two.

I'm curious if anyone has ever seen this increased bot-activity coinciding with an increase in PR after the next update?

    definatly not,

I have seen no difference between PR and Frequency of the google bot.

What I have seen is size and crawl rate.

at 23k pages google does on average 3000 pages per day at PR3. So I am waiting to move up PR and see if it has any change.

It's depends on website ranking and size, might be your website quality rank has been increased inside the Google. That's why Googlebot's activity has been increased and this is a good sign for your website.

My PR 4 forum used to get 200 pages crawled per day. :(

Don't know if there is some relation between PR and crawl rate.

Yes size has showed the effects. Right now it is going at 350 to 400 pages per day.
