Hi all, After weeks of working with vert little sleep (and a lot of dreams about directories) I am proud to interduce you my new concept of directory: Keywords directory What is the difference? * No longer categories tree - the user choose the keyword they want to list their site under. Of course they can choose several keywords and have multiple submission. For example if you have a website selling computers in LA, you can submit it under many keywords you like ('LA computer shop', 'buy computers' etc..." so you have more freedom than regular directory. * Pricing - each keyword has a different price tag according to the popularity. At the moment new keywords that are not in the DB are free! many of them will stay free. Give it a try and I will be happy to hear your thoughts about it.
hmm.... very very interesting concept. however, i don't know if this is maintainable if/when your directory grows beyond 'little'. so i'm not sure of the lifespan of your directory.
a directory means that you are classifying sites according to some critera - theme: the usual directory type - keyword: this new kind of classification or any other criteria. a search engine crawls the sites and determines their themes and keywords for which they should rank. search engines are based on algorithms while a directory is edited by humans.
Very interesting Idea indeed. May be its more of a search engine than a directory looking. But you have put a lot of effort in it --no doubt about that. Kudos and best of luck.
not really... In Bigoole it is more like search engine if you search for 'web directory' you get: http://www.bigoole.com/search.php?q...h&search=Search+the+World's+Largest+Directory while in Lola directory if you search for 'web directory' you will get http://www.loladir.com/web_directory As you will get in a regular directory. The difference is that the category tree is invisible. Anyway thanks for your comments
nice attempt, but like some has said, it is like Wordcloud and i just don't see how that will be valuable to customers since there is no way you can possibly pass high PR to ALL POSSIBLE KEYWORD pages.... but i wish u success nevertheless
Interesting idea, according to Wikipedia it isn't a directory: "A web directory is not a search engine, and does not display lists of web pages based on keywords, instead it lists web sites by category and subcategory." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_directory Good luck with it anyway
