And they send the clear message that they want to be a global company that makes no difference in people same where they are from. You may demand special treatment on behalf of the US people of course, but luckily Google are smart.
they are a united states company who happens to have different tlds for different countries, the primary one being .com (us version) and they are an AMERICAN company traded on the nasdaq, so please.
So you can actually demand that every private US company should make special logos when ever it fits you ?
Like a lot of people said, Google is just a company that does it for fun. If people are b*tching about memorial day, then the rest of the world should b*tch about all of their festivities and what not. Should have probably done it, but no big deal since most of the world doesn't know what Memorial Day is. And Martin Luther King isn't a "country specific" holiday, eventhough the world doesn't celebrate it much.He is an icon to African Americans all around the world just like Gandhi, Mother Theresa, Bob Marley (maybe?), etc etc. Just happened to be in the US since the US had the biggest civil rights movement.
no, because that special logo thing is a google gimmick, nobody else does it. asking that question is distortion. they do most of the american holidays yet choose to omit the one that honors those who have fought for our country, the country that makes google possible. it would right to show their respect. they are publicly traded by the way.
I didn't notice that, but it is kind of sad. Whether you're for or against our current war (or any others, for that matter) shouldn't you still support those who are giving up so much for your freedom? It's just sad that google does not.
Did Google have a logo last Monday for Victoria Day? Didn't think so. What's the big deal? (No disrespect or anything)
^^ Get over it. I was participating in this thread when it was first started. You actually read the thread and see that. Noob.
