Hello, I own an online currency converter which is doing well (rank #2 in my target SERPS). Adsense are also doing well. Meanwhile I would like to shift to an affiliate solution. I tried to affiliate with travel companies but this is not working well. I would like to know how you proceed to identify your visitors needs and therefore the best affiliate market to provide. Any idea ? Regards Thibaut
try to think what type of people might be interested in your service? who uses currency converter? brainstorm your ideas and you have the target market.
Hello, Actually, I think people interested in using a currency converter would also be interested in travels but seem I am wrong. Regards Thibaut
Forex affiliates? I am not sure, but have seen so many forex related affiliate programs of late. Or may be some clickbank e-books on money, foreign trade etc.
People who are interested in business also use a currency convertor.. and a wide range of diverse visitors..
basically those who want travel generally use money converter so it would be nice to use travel related affliate marketing
I had the same idea regarding tourism but doesn't seem to work. I think I will give a try to the second choice, ie banking and business. Regards Thibaut
Perhaps studying your sites stats and the search phrases they used to find your site might help determine what other topics besides currency conversion they are interested in. You can also see what their geographical breakdown is and target your affiliate programs accordingly (e.g. if most of your site visitors are European, best to pitch European Forex or tourism affiliate deals to them)
Hum, not so easy as the main search phrases are "convert euro", "convert euros", "euro to dollar", etc. Actually, I find it hard to see exactly what they are interested in. Traffic comes mostly from Europe and Canada. Regards Thibaut
Many thanks for all the replies. I think, I also need to see if the locations of the banners are also suitable. Actually, this could also be the problem. I have another idea: the Adsense click ratio is also good; could be nice to see on what ads they are clicking. Do you know any script that could handle this ? Regards Thibaut
Adsenselogger.com used to do a good job but the script is no longer free and the site looks pretty spammy now. You might be able to find someone on DP who still has the original or google for it to find it the free version asRep.com has a free trial version but it doesn't look as if the site has been updated for a while so the script might not work anymore
i like extreme tracker but google has one called googles anaylitics i think and its supposed to be good.
