I just finished creating a php/css game where you play the role of a real estate agent. I'm not getting a lot of high score submissions...any idea why? Real Estate Game I think one reason might be the speed of the game. I plan to clean up the code and use ajax make it a bit faster. I also think the game might be a bit confusing as I don't know of any others using a similar format.
I think, from initially having a quick read of the rules and giving the game a go, that it's a little confusing. I can't really offer any more constructive criticism than that and I really do find it difficult to even understand the concept.... I don't know whether I'm the only one. I may just be being stupid! That's certainly my opinion on it.... Good luck though, I'd love to have another look, if you revise the game.
I kinda got a bit confused as well... though it is half 10. The game itself is quite good and it has what looks like decent coding. Personally I don't really understand the game too much, I think I got the basics, but thats it... I suppose its quite a useful game as just a bit of a laugh as its quite decent for your site, and is in keeping with your site. Definetly a good attempt, though clarification might not be a bad thing. Diarmuid
Any ideas on what I can do to make the game less confusing? Maybe I could create a video showing how the game is played. I'm not sure if I could significantly clarify the instructions without some form of visual reference.
The back end could definitely be coded better. I thought of the concept yesterday and spent about 8 straight hours coding it. My main goal was to make it functional and balanced. Sometime this week I will work on making it streamline and faster. I didn't anticipate this version to be too confusing. I was actually thinking about adding 2-3 more options.
