Fantastic 4: Rise of the silver surfer-next movie of the year:)

I believe this movie is going to rock and it has a large following from the old comic book days( me included). I was asleep during most of the pirates of the caribean movie until the action packed ending.

 

what do you mean by movie of the year?

I think it will be very good but I don't think it will out earn some of the other 3's that it's up against...might be better than at least 2 of the other 3's though!

 

I think it's going to be a ok/good movie. I don't expect anything revolutionary. Let's say something like Spiderman 3.

 

yeh i agree with myr and tim, it will be good, and ill see it, but not the movie of the year.

 

its gonna ba ok for me.. spiderman or shrek might still be the movie of the year so far for me..

 

the first fantastic 4 was terrible. i cant imagine this being any better.

Possibly. She did add a lot to the movie; that's for sure. . But she doesn't look as good as a blond, I don't think. Dr Doom didn't work for me in the first movie and it was too "thing" centric.

Mia didn't like Spiderman 3? I just saw it yesterday. I thought it was pretty good. I, personally, would have cut every snaggletooth and crying scene; but that's me. I thought venom looked awesome though. Sandman was cool too, very cool actually. And even rewriting uncle ben's death in the first movie kinda worked, it was at least plausible. How could you not laugh at the bruce campbell scene too? And I liked how they handled osbourne's son here too, at least at the end. Pretty classy for a likeable character.

The spiderman movies have all been good. He has a villian (or villians in this case) that exceed him in power and he has to use more than brute force to win. *cough*superman*cough*.

It's not a waste of money; that's for sure. That's an exagerration, I think. Some parts of it were kinda weird (generally self centered, selfish behavior in unreasonable situations - snaggletooth thinks she's the only person on the planet in every scene she's in), but how can you not like venom?

I got a perverse thrill everytime she was whining about something though

the movie is not really going to be that successful...
there a lot of movies that is better than fantastic four...

 

I think transformers would be movie of the year, they bringing cartoon characters into real life after so many years.

 

I dunno. Transformers, even from the previews, has too many humans in it. Too much of a "war of the worlds" quality to it. I'd have much prefered less humans more ass-kicking robots; but of course I'm not going to miss it. Especially with Cullen still voicing Prime

 

How could it be a good silver Surfer movie if Galactus isn't in it? I thought the Silver Surfer and Galactus were introduced in the same comic book but I haven't seen him in any of the advanced previews at all.

 

On some preview sites, I read that Galactus comes at the end of the movie (probably for a sequel), but he's not the big pink and purple dorky guy; he's a storm cloud or something?

I always thought that's why Galactus ate planets, because everyone laughed at him for the pink/purple outfit. He got sick of being called a nancy-boy.

 

I thinks its just gonna be ok. the first movie is not thrilling for me but I hope the sequel is much better since the comercials are good.

 

Naah, Fantastic 4 doesn't stack up against some of the other super hero movies, especially that spider man.

 

Spider man just sucked , so yaa it doesnt stack up with that one at all.

 

Ok i saw spiderman 3 and it was ok, but pirates 3 suckedddddd bigtime, i almost fell asleep during most of the movie. I agree with lorien about the transformers having too many humans in it.

Ok watch my next movie thread, im 100% sure most of u would thingk this idea would make movie of the century.
