Usually when i want to get a good laugh i go to break.com, but if im searching for music videos DOY videos i go to youtube. - Prilep
I check alot of the video sharing sites daily: youtube, veoh, metacafe, break, daily motion, etc. I can't say I use one more over the other.. they all have something to offer!
Since google took over youtube there code is more clean. Now when you click remove it actually removes the video from your favorite.
I guess where are all going to have to wait until they have better video cams. Some of the video all you see is black and voices.
I'm stuck on dialup because I live up in the mountains and cable & DSL wont reach and satellite costs too much. I wanted to upload videos online so tried out Youtube. Sadly they cater to broadbans (which I guess is to be expected) but taking 2 hours or more to upload a one meg file was just crossing too many lines IMHO...so I asked SP for Alternatives for YouTube and got a few nice replies. I'm currently a VERY HAPPY member at vimeo.com. Videos that were taking an hour++ at youtube were processing in less then a half hour here... Though, with the sheer number of people on Youtube they do have some very fun/funny things to watch.
thanks for the link to the other thread...I was also looking for alternatives as well, just additional content that I have never been able to find on YT
Not a problem, and if you would like more there was a contest a few weeks back with some guy wanting lists of 'youtube like sites'. If you can find that thread it has a lot more sites then the ones I linked too.
Hi, Yes, I have learned a lot on Youtube, most recently was studying about injured shoulders and knees and the procedures to help heal them. I am currently suffering a shoulder problem and I have ruled OUT that it is dislocated (after I viewed information on Youtube). Also, I had a dislocated knee when I was 18 years old, ouch!! I saw a video on youtube where a soccer player dislocated his knee during a game and he was laying there on the field inhaling some gas that the medic gave him so that he would not feel the medic put the knee cap back up on his leg. When my kneecap dislocated (20+ yrs ago), I slid it back on top of my knee while my dad was standing over me saying, Oh honey, are you OK?? My dad was trying to help me up and I kept saying no no no.. not yet, then I got the kneecap back in place and dad helped me limp back over to my chair, I went to the hospital 2 days later.... knee still hurts!! PS. I love catching Family guy on youtube. lol
YouTube is a one good source for me, especially if I want to get a clip or a trailer of a movie or any particular TV show series..
