Now this isn’t intended to get into a debate over motivation or reasons for engaging in these horrible killings. Everybody has reasons for the things they do and anybody can justify their actions (at least to themselves). But, objectively, it is more than obvious that Rosie O’Donnell statement was actually conservative and an underestimation. And what do YOU think?

Mostly it is the terrorists and insurgents that are killing other Iraqis....are you denying the fact? US just removed a dictator and sent him where he deserved to be. What can US/Bush do if there are so many barbarians amongst the Iraqis who just can't stop killing innocent people.
Wow, it's sad to see so many posters in this thread that think the US hasn't killed a lot of Iraqis. What do you think happened when the bombs used in the invasion missed their targets? I read about whole neighborhoods being destroyed by bombs missing their targets. What do you say to the relatives of those that died? "Oops, we're sorry"?
Yes, except there has never been, nor will be a US politician standing up and saying that. Unlike Al Qaeda the goal isn't to slaughter as many innocent people as possible. Who is this woman, some reality TV star?
No one is denying that there have been civilian casualties in Iraq because of US attacks. The point is how can US be blamed for Iraqi casualties due to actions of terrorists, insurgents and Sunni-Shia conflicts. Most of the killings have taken place after major US attacks stopped.
The reason USA is blamed is because they started the situation, i'm not saying it IS the USAs fault i'm just saying thats what other people may think. Personally my view is, western soldiers in iraq are their for a reason, theyre their taing a risk when they joined the army they knew they'd be fighting people and they knew they may be on the front line, however the iraqi civilians did not join any force its not their occupation, thus making the west bigger terrorist. I don't know who this rosie woman is probably coz im from uk but you lot seem to hate her quiet a bit lol

Rosie is a comedian who now thinks she should comment on politics and not in an intelligent way like colbert or stewart. Also as a soldier I know while soldiers would rather be back home with their families they also know that if they leave insurgents will cause more deaths probally even genocide. And i know the large majority of iraqis want the US over and are willing to risk theirs and their families lives to work with the Army as policemen, also its a fact that almost all the insurgents are not iraqi citizens. As for civilian deaths this is a sad fact of war, civilians get killed, even more so now that the enemy hides and fights in mosques, houses, stores.
