That's good to hear, I do accidentally click on my ads from time to time. Sometime it just happens when you are switching between browser windows.

Want to know the easiest way to have your adsense account terminated?
Accidentally click your add.... they are completely contradicting themselves by saying that.

I agree with you there. That is the biggest problem. I used firefox, so if I move quickly between tabs, it happens. Ah well.

um...not so much. ive had my adsense account for a few years, and in total, when setting up new sites, ive probably clicked my own ads atleast 10 times. After the first few emails, google asked me to stop emailing them, and simply dont give me credit for those clicks.

    Thanks for the post.

Just today I clicked on one accidentally. I got totally distracted and clicked on an ad that showed on a site of mine....

I hope they don't ban me for that...

I click on my own ad(s) at least once a month. Be it because my computer is lagging, or I move my mouse to fast between browsers or tabs.

Iv emailed them a lot I guess, im probably one of the publishers they are saying "Shut up!" about.

But iv been on at least a 2+ month streak of NO CLICKING MY OWN ADS! (because I use adlogger to block my ads to me...)

Yeah, I've always been "paranoid" about accidentally clicking my ads.
My mouse is always zipping around the screen when I'm doing maintenance on my sites.
That's why I make sure my Adblocker is on when I do.

I was thinking that. Moral must be done from the amount of paranoid publisher emails they have to deal with.

Accidental clicks do happen. Sometime ago I did had a similar problem I was opening an AJAX site in another tab in firefox and I was clicking on the menu of that website and my bad luck that the window crashed. My own site was open in Internet explorer :( It was so bad that It clicked the ad perfectly in the middle.

I sent them the email regarding this and they sent me their email thanking me for the info I had sent.

Well in those days this used to be a good practice to let google know from ourselves that a mistake had been committed. I don't know what the rules are right now but now I keep my page scrolled half the way down so that I would not accidentally click on it :D

Really ? I was having impression by all the banned people' stories here that Google tend to ban people really often and won't hear any appeal.

    Thats nothing..
One of my webmaster friend accidentally clicked the same ad twice on someone else's site. He mailed google, explained the situation and asked them not ban the publisher as it was his mistake..

I am sure whoever read that mail at Google plex, had a good amount of laugh for the day. :)

Aslong as you are honest with google from the start, you'll be fine. Even if you are clicked bombed, they arent as evil as most people make them out to be(for the most part, but like everyone, they have their bad moments). Be sure you tell them if you click your own ads immediately, and include the time(their emails are timestamped obviously, but it gives the impression that you are trying to be as helpful as possible). Same goes for when you get click bombed. If you run your own server like me, ensure that you include the section of your log that shows the excessive activity, and they can compare the log timestamps with their click logging. The key is to keep them in the loop. Even though they say not to email them, do it anyone the first few times you click your own ads by mistake, just so they know you are being honest.
