I've re designed all my site (thank to your feed back) and I think it looks much better now but My CTR is very LOW Please help my, I've tried many things but my CTR is still very low I don't think telling my CTR is allowed by TOS but trust me it's low. Please help me to increase my CTR. http://www.tutorialsroom.com Please notice that many of my visitors reach the site to tutorials directly (not through the home page) so please recommend placement in any of the inner tutorials as they are all the same template. I will try your suggestions and reply back in this thread so this help all other members who have low ctr like me.
placement is very good...align the scraper with your menu items... i think your traffic have some knowledge on adsense and is very aware of them...
My blog has also very low CTR, i m trying my best to optimize ads, but don't know what's bothering.. Pal you have really nice site running.
But I think not all my target market is web geeks, not all my tutorials are about web hosting, it also has windows tips, Photoshop tutorials, video tutorials so I think "average" users are involved too! Thank you I'm sure there is something to increase my CTR, I just don't know what is is
CTR depends upon users I am having a web directory only webmasters and directory submissions services submit to my directory Directorysubmission services for others know that these are ads they won' click it Only probably new webmasters would click those ads The same is the case with you! So try to increase your traffic and try to add your link on wikipedia! change the image ad at the top to only text ad!
They say that only having text ads makes better ctr than both text/image ads. I have not tested it really, but that makes sense.
Well, I will try your suggestions one by one and tell you the results here in this thread. I have changed all my ads to text only and I'm waiting for the results... I will tell you what happened and then try the other suggestions. It is always a problem adding ads within my content because I use big pictures for tutorials, any suggestions how to to that? Any more suggestions are really appreciated...
Yes but those are computers savvy visitors also . Try placing 336 x 280 adsense in your content below the title post. Btw nice domain name
As far as the Placement of Ads . You Have done A good JOb . Target Specific visitors and add pages which Matches there intrest. These will increase the CTR.
First of all, can you tell me what you by very low CTR, is it under 1%, 2%, around 5% My advice is that you replace the 728*90 with two large rectangles, it will be easier to read, and use blue links and black copy on white background. If you do this, give feedback PLZ
As I promised, I will give DETAILED feed back so every one that have a low ctr gets some help too. I read your suggestions carefully and try them one by one to know (and let others know) what works best. First, I have changed most of the Skyscraper on the left nav to link unit and changed the background color of the top banner to green and the links to white trying to match the header next to it (on the left col) and to make the ads look different than the usual and well known ads look, also added one referral on the left col. Result: My CTR decreased so it was a bad work. Today: I have tried the idea that says "less ads mean more CTR, maybe because it makes the site look pro" so I've removed the top banners completely, now my site looks better . Also changed the the left col ads back to ads units (instead of link unit). I will give you my feed back tomorrow. People with low CTR like me, keep reading this thread instead of re inventing the wheel in your site.
Most I.T related 'techy people' dont really click ads as often as dumb internet users.--Make a site for the people with a 56k brain.
I agree wit you, but I take this site as a challenge for me. I'm not trying to compete with sites made for 56k brain but I'm trying to compete with myself to get the best that this site can do.
