too bad; i have found a keyword without any competition two days ago and i was first and alone on google search results
the keyword was costing me just five cents till yesterday, i was checking my acc and i realized that i have to increase my min bid to ten bucks
:( damn it's out of my budget
more over my competitor was Disney :D
i'll have to find something else :)

Now that you don't plan to go ahead with it anymore, mind revealing the keyword instead of just teasing :D

Work on your quality score. There is absolutely no reason a keyword with no competition should cost more than 5 cent. (Unless its a TM).

Your bid probably went up because of poor CTR if you were already paying 5 cent.

    Exactly.

Even if Disney put their maximum bid up to $10 it wouldnt mean thats what they would pay.

Your keyword has been slapped so you should get it "unslapped" and back out there!

    Cheers

I'm guessing the poor quality score (clickthrough rate) may be due to everyone clicking on the Disney link. If that's what they were searching for in the first place, this could be a 'challenging' campaign to make a success of...
