    Hi

    I am wondering why mostly everyone here is against Windows Vista. I have bought Vista Ultimate when it came out and have used since that time. it runs faster than XP and has better security. And it looks better!

    I want to know why you hate it!

    I tried it the other day on a friends laptop and it was very slow and the screen kept going blank.

    XP was much faster. I think it is over complicated, I know people that are having problems with non vista compatible hardware!

    It does little to nothing they promised over 5 years ago. Too much effort/CPU put into pretty and not enough put performance.

    My rename and move everything for no apparent reason?

    It seems to lose the glass effect when a window goes full screen and goes default black. That kinda sux..

    - dosen't recognize HD camcorder

    - dosen;t recognize built in webcam on laptop if you want to use video chat online.

    I just switched to XP and rolling

    I think it's an improvement over XP. I have a MSDN developer subscription, so I got it for free. I haven't had any issues whatsoever; all drivers worked fine, all my software works fine, etc.

    And, it runs faster for me than XP did.

    it just seems a ridiculous amount of money for what amounts to a skin and a firewall...

    I haven't tried Vista yet and not planning until Microsoft will close technical support for XP and every program there is won't run unless you have Vista. Then I won't have other choice.

    Microsoft just goes too far to create processor sucking eye candy.
    I have uninstalled Office 2007, (especially Outlook), I don't use WMP, or IE.
    Just too much bull.

    Make it work..I'll make it pretty.

    Its becuase its not as good as they showed us in the screenshots while they where making it and advertising it :p

    Maybe they will make a better OS next time and ask users what they want too.
