I agree with his policies regarding government and some of his foreign ideas, however I do not see him as a viable option due to some of the things he has said. Now, as far as I have seen him say, it is just quoted material from the CIA, however whether or not he believes that it was a U.S. Government Conspiracy - and not an Al Quida conspiracy - I do not know and I would like clarification. I believe it was a Al-Q conspiracy and planned attack perpetrated by Usama and his corhorts, and it is true we did support him in the Afghanistan war - which is how he has some of his weaponry, just as we supported Iraq against Iran. It is our policies because of Carter that we have an increased problem today in the middle east, however these problems will not simply go away by us leaving. We must finish it off, tie up the loose ends, and once we have Iraq self-sustainable we can decrease our presence there. However that clearly will not happen until we achieve a kind of peace, with the Iraqi's having a force capable of defending their own. Same goes for Afghanistan. Once we reach those goals we can in effect downsize our presence as far as manpower goes. However, I am for a deadline. I say, if by 2009 there is not peace in Iraq... we nuke it. No people, no problem. Harsh? Yes. Effective? Yes.
I liked this interview a lot. He actually backs up what he says with facts. He seems to know a lot about history and his opinions are the same as mine for the most part. Too bad neocons hijacked the republican party making him the only real conservative.
I could certainly find a few complaints with Ron Paul but compared to his Neocon mob-boss Repub running mates he is an angel. I will be voting for him.
As an outsider, this guy is very impressive and you have to believe that the only thing holding him back is funding. He absolutely embarrassed Giuliani whose lack of knowledge just reinforces what a farce the election process is, as candidates gain popular vote for being talking heads and familiar faces, not through any merit or depth in their platform. There is no perfect man to "lead the free world" but the last several haven't worked out so well, maybe it's time to look at doing something different, and perhaps something truly conservative.
I saw Kucinich on al-Jazeera and he seemed quite sane too. It's a pity that candidates who have the courage to say the bitter truth don't stand much chance in any democracy.
Yup. Americas fake mayor is already readied to be the shambolic GOP runner. Corrupt as a bastard and ideal for the job. If the "democratic" US didn't want to keep it in the familys (Bush or Clinton since 1981) with the Bilderberger Hillary Clinton then Giuliani would be the next President for sure. Utterly corrupt, does exactly as he is told to do and say. The perfect fool just like Dubya is.
I think Hillary is next in line to the throne. Giuliani is too creepy. Not that he's the only one, but there is an exceptional ghoulishness to his salivating at each opportunity to point out that he was at "ground zero." It makes you wonder if it's not the plan to make him look like a one trick pony (who supports torture), and let Hillary seem reasonable by comparison. Beyond that the odds of a republican winning the next US presidential election are essentially nil. If Ron Paul could run as an independent and get into those presidential debates, he could keep them on the run a little longer.
I've been pointing out to most of the sheeple idiots here in P&R that the US has been under the control of just 2 families since 1981 (including pappy Bush pulling Reagan's strings from '81 to '89) for ages now mate. Hillary is nailed on mate. And the lies, sham and deception will continue.
Someone like him would never get into the white house, i believe American's won't vote for suck a weak person, physically he looks like a walk over & when he talks he pretty much gives me the impression of a timid little girl. Besides his foreign policy sucks
Most young angry white males with low IQs and low self-esteems who let alex jones do their thinking, beleive they are above others and only "they" have the ability to see the world in an alternate dimension. This is another fine example of such.
Only as paranoid as I have to be http://www.mlive.com/newsflash/mich...44/117935695635230.xml&storylist=newsmichigan
Your problem seems to be Briant that you don't understand when someone goes too far because your of the same thinking. What Ron Paul suggests is an insult to anyone not of your thinking.
In a democracy, it is necessary to have debate and opposing points of view. It's healthy to question. As I've posted before, I'm no expert on the Constitution, but my layman's understanding is that the founding fathers tried to erect a system whereby the will of the people is never exceeded by the will of the government. That government is representative of the people. I can't think of anything more moral and universally American than the US Constitution. It's sad to see the GOP leader in MI try to silence a candidate from his own party, a guy with a strong record in voting for core Republican principles from participating in debate because his message is interpreted by some as "heresy" in an age where we are short heretics but knee deep in ambulance chasers like Guiliani.
