Separate Accounts For AdSense/AdWords

Is there a sound reason why one might want to have separate accounts for AdSense and AdWords as opposed to unifying the two under the same login?

 

i think the reason is security. because of this adsense forces users to update their account

 

you are only supposed to have one account for all websites, you use channels to track different sites/pages.

 

they want it to be separate.one reason would be,if you got banned on adsense or adwords it wont affect the other account.

 

Not true - they can ban the AdSense portion of your account and leave everything else there.

So, no, there is no good reason to separate them.

Not sure but if big G cancels your adsense account (it has happened to people) then it might be nice to have your adwords account quite seperate?

and how do you know that,since they are separate?
if there is no good reason they why do have it that way?
it could be that they couldn't integrate it.

 

Do inactive accounts get deleted I opened up a Adsense account like 2 years ago but never used it?... Dont even remember the login details for it...
