Hi, I am just confused on whether it is possible to use Adsense on the bid directory sites as we are just selling links for a top position.

So should I have adsense on the bid directories or not.

    OH!

    who brought this concept first?

    Shall I know

Because Bigoole was first like this only

    with categories A,B,C etc.,

In Each category there will be a keyword etc.,

    Webhosting will be W keyword

So I think I was the first one to create this concept!

It will have a 2 way effect it will make G get more a/s revenue, and make sure that you lose submissions :)

If you are comfortable with that matrix go for it!

It's up to you if you want to add adsence on your site, but like most have stated I wouldn't. I especially wouldn't add it to your front page where you have people bidding to get on there. Why would someone want to bid at your site if adsence is putting sites on there without bidding?

it is possible, but then i won't suggest! if you have a really established directory then it sure will work, but then for new directories, it will effect your bids!

I'll second alot said here, I've been using adsense for a while making good money. I would not put adsense on a bid dir, it's to risky. Unless you can add some good content and articles I say no. Also if you have a niche dir, I diagree with what was said above. I get alot of clicks from adsense. I think people are already in the state of mind (Based on if you have a specific directory type) and theres a good change you'll get a click thru. GL

Honestly, I haven't even thought about adding ANY adsense on my Bidding Web Directory because I don't believe in being greedy and giving as much traffic as possible to those who bid themselves on top!

I've noticed alot of you don't have adsense on your directories but I make good money on mine. Maybe because its a specific type and not a general like many of the directories out there.

No, what I want is the bids to increase and me to win the contest for the keyword. Adsense is on some of my sites, but not this one. :)

I agree. You don't want ads on your Bid Directory. The very nature of the directory supports this. We all know why we are going to these places and I would bet the ctr for ads is very low on these types of sites. So my vote is still no for adsense on Bid Dir.

agree with some of the rest. I generally don't think adsense on directories are a good idea as adsense thrives only on high traffic and most directories do not generate that at the moment. Also, i feel that adsense kinda 'chepens' the overall impression and look of the directory (even though i'm still in the process of replacing the adsense on mine too) :p

There are a few bidding directories I get a bit of traffic from. I check my stats and make sure I stay on top of those. I hope that those who submit to mine will follow the same strategy. :)

I've had this in my head for awhile also, to say adsense "cheapens" the look of the site. I've done a good amount of research on this subject and bottom line is if you can add adsense in a very natural way then this will not be a problem at all. It's also one of the keys to adding advertisment to a website and making good money.
