Creating a thread and selecting from the drop down menu that instant notification be sent doesn't work anymore (I presume since the latest vb update shawn did). Now, If I check the subscribed threads, the thread is not listed with instant notification, so now I have to do it through the usercp for every new thread created.
Hmm, it works just fine for me. I subscribed to a thread I started yesterday and I do recieve notifications if someone replies.
Did you try it while writing the thread? on the thread creation page? it works if you subscribe normally after the thread is done, but not while in the process. Maybe i'm hallucinating, but it happened 3 times with me already
Ah, I was talking about the subscribe function in the thread itself, not while creating it.. Well, there's still a way to subscribe.
I am not getting any emails from DP either...thread subscription reply notifications or PM notifications. Both are enabled. Is there something I can do to resolve it?
Check your profile again. Check your spam box or may be your firewall blocking them(if you use outlook etc) I get bombed with 100+ DP emails daily...
Well I have no problem and I got notification mails in my inbox. I found mails in spam box few days ago but I allowed them inbox and I got all notification regularly since than.
But I am definitely[/b[ getting notifications... May be after upgrade some providers may consider it as spam? lol Do you use hotmail?
No, I don't use Hotmail. I have a paid email service, but I also tried completely disabling spam filtering and asked someone to send me a PM. No notification.
I'm getting the emails, but the thing is: subscribing to a thread while creating it does not work anymore. You can only subscribe the old fashion way i.e. using the thread tools or through the subscribed threads link in the usercp. weird.
Yes even I'm not receiving any notification for last few days now... I think this happened after the Update.. may be some bug in VB
Does anyone know if this is being looked into? It's a very major problem, rendering DP too time consuming. That is, I can't keep up with threads this way...
