How many of you make daily/weekly/whatever backups of your important data? And how do you do it (software/hardware)? I make a daily backup to a separate drive in my PC. And a weekly/fortnightly backup to an external drive that I keep 'offsite'. Both using SecondCopy. I've lost DAYS of work to hardware failure and stupidy in the past. Never again!
No but i should, i had a back up of all my old files from old computer, but after that i havnt done anything
You should make this into a poll. I'm sure that if everybody is honest they will say that they don't.
I always back up my photographs because they're irreplaceable Sometimes my most important site files.. I probably only do it.. 3 times a year or less?
website backups i take once a week! but then i rarely say about once in 3-4 months take a full computer backup! i find my data pretty safe on my harddisk!
All of my servers automatically make backups of all important data nightly and transfer to seperate backup servers or within one another
I make website backups once in a while. Mostly once a month. As for computer backups, I never make them
I've lost a lot of editing time (PICS) b/c I was the stupid and did not have a regular backup routine...I now backup more often than I used so but still not 'routinely' enough I'm afraid
now who let you out of your cage?? nothing has changed but I am aware of changes that need to be made
i used to do a backup every 3 months or so untill i lost some important Data (my old school projects) on my old Hard drive, now i burn cds almost every 3 days.
