I have recently started writing articles to promote my site and so far I've been submitting them to a few of the more well known article sites like goarticles.com. I was wondering whether it was worth using one of those free article submitters that was meant automatically submit your article to hundreds of sites. Yesterday I downloaded one of these programs but I haven't tried it out yet as I wanted some opinions on it first. The reason I have hesitated about using it is because I noticed that most of the sites on it have a very low page rank with google and I weren't sure whether it was worth the effort if it wasn't going to generate me much more traffic. I hope someone can help. Thank you Peter
Never submit your unique content to article sites. Keep your articles on YOUR site and people will link to your site if your content is good. I have done this in the past and it has not worked out well. Write good content. Put it on your site. Wait for backlinks.
you can submit your edited or sort version of your article to those directories. then make a link in the article back to your site for full article. that might help solve duplicate problem.
I don't think they are a good idea, some article sites will ban your account for using them. Also I like to make slight changes to each article submitted (different titles, different author links, things like that). If you autosubmit, you can't do that.
i write articles and submit them to ezinearticles.com only. it's a slow process but it really does get some hits.
Article marketing is my prime form of advertising, but I don't use automated article submissions. Like someone said earlier, I have a unique copy of my articles for every directory I submit to, and plus I just don't just automated submissions . Every article directory is different and automated just doesn't cut it compared to manual submission.
First, article marketing works. It works even if you will submit your own content to the article web-sites, why? It seems that google understand that it is content from YOUR web-site written BY YOU. If other sites with the same content link back to you, then you are the source and your site should be shown in search results higher. As for automated article submission... before running one, I would ask a service to show me all backlinks that article they have submitted have now. In this way I will be able to check, if they submit to relevant sites, what is the real number of backlinks I can expect, etc. Sure, it is a good idea to change title and description and text a little, for every single web-site.
