I really, really, really can't believe this is happening. This is just too cruel to be true. Everything just went from great to f*cking horrible in one quick sweep. Long story short: Im in germany, my girlfriend is in Canada (Newfoundland). We met over one of my sites. I've been there a few times, going there in 20 days for her grad, then we're going to germany for th esummer, and off to live in florida together. She's got a little business (school project) selling DVD's she made. I set up all the site, had a design made, bought the domain, got hosting, did everything a good little webmaster boyfriend does. So now the other day, I set up the "Culture" Page about the Newfoundland culture. I put up whats pretty much on the Uncyclopedia page there. I made it even more harmless. I portraid them as drunkards, and stoners (Which hell even her mom is) .. well here's the first bit of what I posted: Well, her grandparents found it, and freaked out. Basically we stayed there most of the time we were there, and they now hate me. They used to love me. Hell, they thought the world of me. In my time there, I did everything I could to maintain face with them, show them respect, and basically do everything I could. Now that they saw that, they disapprove of me. They said I could get arrested for this, I could be fined, I could be persecuted by him. They said they could charge her. Nobody would buy anything from her business. Their view on me has changed. They don't like me, they dont want her to go to Florida or germany with me. And I'm no longer welcome in their house. GET A F*CKING SENSE OF HUMOR! Anyways, I just bought f*cknewfoundland.info. I'm going to be setting up a real, big BAD parody site up there. If anyone can offer me free hosting it'd be greatly appreciated. (I have my dedicated boxes but don't want the nameservers traced back to me). So I don't even know whats going to happen, how or if I'm even going back there. God damn fish eating puck slapping maple suckers >:/ (BTW: I did write a 5 page REAL report on this matter)

I met her over one of my sites she's been a member of for 2+ years. We spoke day and night for ages. After a while, things developed.. Its been over a year now, and we saw eachother a few times already.
I would say you made a series of serious mistakes and you fully intend to continue the spree. How else would you expect them to react. Good luck. I hope life goes easy on you.

That just seems stupid actually. I had an online girlfriend that lived states away from me and although I never actually met her in person, I would have never thought of ridiculing where they live and their culture. But from my experience-- having several long-distance relationships...they just don't work out. I think you just just get over it and move on if they all hate you.
Firewolf: If Im in a taxi and even the taxi driver offers me pot, what should I think? If we go to her place, and the first thing I smell when her mom or her moms boyfriend walk in is the strong stench of weed, what should I think? If everything there is about getting drunk, and getting stoned, what am I to say? I did it as a parody. I quoted uncyclopedia. The part about the May 2-4 holiday is quite accurate as a matter of fact. I never did mean to offend them, but when I go on about SEALS hijacking TRAWLERS, stealing WOMEN and claiming UNEMPLOYMENT, as well as titling it as PARODY I expected that they would get the hint that it was not meant seriously. Again, we've seen eachother, and in 20 days we'll never be apart again.
That sucks, since you were so close to sealing a life with her. I have a girlfriend that moved from my state to Hawaii, we've been together for 1.5 years already.
my sister in law met her hub online...a lot of relationships start out like that!! ________________________ sounds like the generation gap is quite significant...good 'ol hindsight I think it would have been rare for them to consider it funny...perhaps they did not know the intent was to in fact be funny! If she means that much to you, could you apologize...it would be a good gesture even if they don't accept you back right away.
Xeron: Its not going to change anything between us. Her last relationship (3 years) was long distance, but the difference was EVERYONE hated the guy, and she was banned from even talking to him.

First of all. LOL. Just LOL. The comments were totally idiotic, but I liked the Beelzebub part. Secondly, you're a moron for your "fish eating, etc." comment. You're German. The day you get to deminish anyone is the day hell freezes over. We can call you a Nazi, plain and simple, which speaks for itself. Mkay, pumpkin? Lastly, some advice. Drop it. What you started with wasn't funny in the first place, what makes you think it'll be funnier after?

Humor is... for the same aged. Your 'laugh on a disaster' jokes dint manage to amuse them, that is all. You should be either sorry, and if your not... and believe they are at the wrong end.. just move on. Don't waste your precious time creating a website just slamming them again, they are the grandparents, nothing virtual can really harm them... lol
You must remember that humor on the web is not always taken lightly. You were setting up a page for your girlfriend's business and you've pretty much insulted Newfoundlanders by putting absolute garbage on the Culture page. How do you expect someone to feel when you insult who they are and where they come from? I'm afraid you got what was coming to me.
