Hi!! Ok, let me put some elements about my country: - Capital: Lisbon. A great city. the most cosmopolitan from Portugal. - Best city: Porto (my city and my club: FC Porto!) You should read some different opinions too... - Recent World Personalities: Mourinho (Chelsea), Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester), Figo (Inter), Eusébio. - History: check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portugal - more than 600 km sand beaches. - Best weather in the south: Algarve. Similar to south of Spain. - Cheap (for you guys! ) - Great night animation (from north to south) - Places to visit: Almost all cities have big history. Portugal was born in XII century so you will find a lot of old buildings and traditions. They could be better preserved tough... You should visit Lisbon, Porto, Algarve (summer) Coimbra, Guimarães (where Portugal was born), Aveiro (Portuguese Venice), Serra da Estrela (winter), Évora (Spring - It is too hot in the summer and no Beaches) and a lot of other places... Portugal is small. Get a rent car and just discover it! - I guess Portugal is very secure. A part from Lisbon where you should be more carefull (and Porto too...) you will have no problem walking around, alone at any time. - Recently, a little girl missed in Algarve and there is a big buzz around it. It isn't a normal situation and probably happened because people feel so much secure that forget simple security measures. I hope they find little Maddy soon! - http://www.findmadeleine.com/ - Bars open arount 9pm and close at 2/3/4am. Discos open at 11pm and close 6/7/8/9...am Then if you have energy you can look out for an after but only in main cities. - Music style: diverse, but mainly imported (english, portuguese (Brasil) and spanish) - Human relations: If you are looking for girls, you should prepare for "not easy womens", specially in the north. If you are looking for mens (and you are a girl) you should expect easy mens , I guess... If you are gay, I recommend going to south, Lisbon and Algarve since these are more cosmopolitan areas. In the north people are more conservative. By other side in the north you will find more warm relations and strong relationships. - portuguese language is not so easy to learn but almost everyone knows a little about english. It's a f*ing country that is responsable by the hungry in Brazil, they abused Brasil so f*ing much and now they are kinda rich and theres alot of people dieing by hungry on brazil and they just don't care. It's the most important thing that you will ever know about portugal.
1- Portugal discovered Brasil in XVI century as Spain discovered other countries in South America! 2- Brasil is independent since 1822. 3- Could you please explain how Portugal is responsible for Brasillian hungry?! You are independent for so many years... Maybe YOU (thiagoo) should do something yourself to end Brasillian hungry... I think Brasil is great, I have family there. In fact, I think almost portuguese people have family there. A lot of brasilian people come to Portugal and a lot of Portuguese go to Brasil. By the way, Portugal isn't rich. In fact it is one of the most poor countries in UE. "theres alot of people dieing by hungry on brazil and they just don't care" I care! Do you care? What have you been doing to stop hungry in Brasil? I'm just 18 and i want to be a president for that matter, there isn't much that i can do now And they are responsable for it, as rich contries are responsable for africa hungry and stuff... And i know that portugal is one of the most poor countries in europe, but if you compare to brazil, the things get ugly And Brazil got some areas that they are really good at, and the country is really messed because on the south brazil is really rich, on the north brazil is really poor and wanna know why? It's because portugal invested on sugar and cofee there while they still had brazil in their hands. And another and, brazil politicians are really bad guys, i still don't have a chance to change anything as to be a politician on brazil you have to be over 35 so it's gonna take a quite big time until i can start my career xD Please don't take it as if i were telling that is YOUR FAULT, it's the fault of the country, the government and stuff... And from what i see you aren't affiliated with portugal politicians Peace man
