Ghosting around the competition, these tricks are not for kids!

    Greetings

Now i'm sober again, so decided to put out a few methods to kill your
competition that really worked for me. Now i'm not going to share what
my site is, but lets assume it was a car site.

    1. First Step

Check out all car sites, you can see that the sites have gallerys, specs,
etc.. Now copy all their information, specs and rewrite their reviews. Next
you see a site about car tires, now that site is authority site about car
tires and has only information about the tires and lots of it. Now copy all
that information and rewrite all content. Repeat this in all car related sites
from oil reviews to car gallerys (Remember not to copy images, you can buy
the images from some site), now you are doing nothing illegal at this point.
This is hard work, but rewarding! Most of webmaster do this...

    2. Killer!
Now get your self good language translator to translate your pages to 10
different languages that are from strange parts of the world (like mongolia),
just copy past job! Now you need to do some technical stuff to get huge
SEO benefit from this and this is not blackhat SEO and google will never ever
change their algo to reject this, not going to give you details since
it took me forever to figure it out and i don't want everyone to do it. Again
nothing illegal have been done considering Google or copyright laws and voila,
you are number one in all car terms you can think off. Make sure you have
good looking site too, and even if google personel visits your site they wount
figure it out, its so damn clever, now you just need to think what did i do to
make it so! Now the only problem is that now i have enough money to drink
    every day, EEK!

My site is now authority site in my niche on basicly all keywords i can think
of, when i type any keyword in google i'm always number one. The point is
that the translation is shitty, but google does not know it. Yes, your
customers from mongolia might notice it, but hey how many are you going to
get from there? The secret is that your 15.000 pages car site is suddently
150.000 page site with quality content in the eyes of google. Oh pudding
one dedicated server is not enough anymore. There are many other unknown
tricks that i did tho, none blackhat. You need to think out of the box when
you design a site, if you just read forums and do same stuff than others you
will always be in the middle.

Copying other website's content? There are things called copyrights you know :) You can be violating copyright restrictions if you do what was suggested in the step #1

Could you do this and kill digg.com for example? I'd like to see that :)

He's talking about niche sites, not services like digg ;)
And is rewriting content really illegal? And copying the specs, since those are just facts that can be found anywhere. I wont do this, since it takes to long, but I can see it working if you really put in houres and houres every day (on the other site, you could also just use that time to make your own unique stuff...)

Isn't this the same as translating your website into a few languages and ranking in the different languages search engines? I see nothing wrong with it as long as it's your content you are translating.

More about plagiarism here. Anyway... as you said, if there's like 100 car sites with 100 pages each, that would mean rewriting 10000 pages of text - doesn't sound like a really good plan. :)

I'm sorry, but if you can't share exactly what you've done, it's not really advice.

Well, I'll have to pass. It's evident that you aren't up to speed on forming a proper sentence or copyright laws.

By the way, you just told all of us that this isn't against the law, which made you legally liable to some degree for anyone who sees this thread and acts on it. Good one.

So I guess we can all go out and do this now. We'll just bill you for any legal damages.

    Kudos to you.

I was thinking about what others responded with regarding copyright laws, etc.
Essentially, the original poster is telling us to do the work ourselves and re-write the reviews.
    Not exactly copy and paste.
Thousands of bloggers and web administrators do this task much more easily, however.

    Its called RSS.
Convert it to javascript and you never have to touch the page again.

The wonders of modern technology, folks.
Learn it correctly and watch the dollars roll in.

    That is a great question.
I have still gotten search engine traffic to pages on a php-based forum, even though some of these pages are created from an RSS feed.

Maybe somebody with direct knowledge of the "dupe content" principle can help us on this question....as it applies to RSS technology.

I think he's talking about re-writing and don't think re-writing content is illegal. If it was, no idea if there would be any content at all :).

    Exactly.
That's what I was trying to get at.
...but it is an awful lot of work.
Much easier to just quote a snippet of somebody else's review and interject with a thought or two of your own....since you are prepared to re-write anyway.

So you're running Google AdSense on pages in Mongolian?
    Is this allowed?

And I wonder how does it convert?

Last I checked, Adsense allows international traffic...not sure if Yahoo (YPN) changed their TOS regarding this.

Interesting question though, as we don't know if any TOS are broken with this specific application.

Something was stated regarding Google NOT knowing about some part of the procedure?
    Please....G knows everything.
