Do you turn of your computer at night?

got yourself a nice image that you just plug and play with

somebody on here does something like that every 2 months!

I tried to create a base install...haven't used it yet...afraid I would have missed important apps and have to reinstall a bunch of stuff!

 

Computer will run better if you clear all the 'unwanted' stuff in the background. If you leave it on, these stuff gets accumulated and it will slow down your computer.

 

But I REALLY need to make sure my quicktime stays up to date 24/365

 

i turn it OFF, i have no reason to let it run.. less electricity, less bills..

 

Mostly my PC is OFF when I am not using it.

 

i turn off every night

only takes about 40 secs to turn on ion the morn and i`m good to go

 

I don't know how mine counts; it's on Standby each night. So it's technically "off" I think. There's nothing running while it's on standby unless I touch it, which I don't.

 

I personally turn my computer off. Why waste energy?

Anyway, for those who stay on MSN while sleeping, I hope you rot in hell. It's always been a peeve for me when people do that

 

Mine gets turned off when I leave it for more than 30 mins.

Sometimes... we are trying to do it more now, to save electricity and wear on the computer. But often we just tend to turn the monitor off and leave it running... especially if it's already nearly getting light.

 

I'm surprised to see that almost half of the people don't turn their computer at night!

 

yah ofcourse coz,, here we need to consumpt electricity

 

i leave it on 24/7 because for me utility bills are paid by the company ;-) and iusually donwload something or the other....

 

its not that i dont want to save energy or something..but when i want to download stuff... a lot of times because of the time differenes i get seeds for my p2p downloads only at the night..thay is because when theres day here its night in US and canada...

 

Hi how can your processor manges for a long while. (For those who never turn off their PCs).

 

yes i do ,i turn off my computer daily everynight.
even i turn off computer after use of it.
