    Apply for an account :: hxxp://microsoftaffiliates.net/ .
    Didn't want to link directly to Microsoft's site, just in case ...

    It seems that at this time, something called Windows Live OneCare is the only thing that one can promote.

    Digg it.

    I dont think its my Mircrosoft. I thought they were gonna start a contextual advertising system, not an affiliates system. Plus, the site looks fake anyways.

    Not too sure if its real. But then the whois lookup is kinda 50 - 50 mixup. Have a look at microsoft.com and microsoftaffiliates.net ..

    Few other things like why din they take microsoftaffiliates.com and why did they pic up a .net ?

    Fishy, 'eh ?

    Hi,

    I don't think you can apply, in FAQ column it says 'The program is currently open to applications from sites whose owners reside in the US and Canada'.

    The site is weird why Microsoft used .net, maybe it still in Beta version (I guest)

    The site is legit. I work for the company that is providing the affiliate program. I helped develop on the affiliate program software; the lead developer of the company and myself designed the system from the ground up. The guy who has spent the better part of the last few months doing the UI would be very upset to hear people think it is fake :).

    I can't name my company as of yet as MS doesn't want anyone to know (contracts, man oh man) until they do their press release in the next week or 2.

    I signed up for the affiliates program. What should I expect phendryx, since you have the inside scoop on the program. Will it be possible to make any money with this?

    If you can push traffic to download their one care software, yes.

    The download portion is completely on Micorsoft's servers, so there is no way for my company to prove if someone downloaded or not. Microsoft sends a batch of the confirmed downloads to our software and our software credits the affiliates. This being said, I have no idea how they determine uniques. Even if I did, I obviously couldn't say publicly.

    As for how much money, just as the OP copied from the site, $1.50 per unique, valid download. There's no "inside tricks" or anything.
