Good luck on that man. You were even more politically uncorrected than I was in your posts. You have been branded a racist by the PC police and there is no ridding yourself of it lol

I chose my words carefully to avoid that and still got hit with PC shrapnel :D

See. Just give up, you're digging yourself in deeper. We will talk more about this at the rally tonight :p

To be honest, this is just a forum full of people I don't know. If people think I'm racist, have fun thinking it. In reality, nobody here really cares what the other thinks anyway. I can only say how I feel, whether or not people believe it is their problem.

The apostacy law in Islam is no different than the burning of heretics in Christianity aloha.net/~mikesch/burn-heretics.htm

Except that in Christian majority countries the religious people have lost the power to implement that punishment while in one or two places in the Muslim world they still have that power.

Racism is not the same as hatred.

Yes right. But lets be fully honest here, it's more than "one or two" places in the Muslim world.

I don't think America would be any better or worse than a place like Iran if we were to allow the priests to make and enforce laws here. That's the main idea behind separation of church and state. Don't think for a second that if big religious leaders had their way here, there would be no stonings and hangings for stuff like adultery, there would be. But we keep our guys on a leash. You guys(Muslims) let yours roam free, pee on the rug, hump your leg and chew the furniture. You guys really need to get that separation of religion thing going on

To ly2 credit he only advocated the marriage in the same race and not in the same family since he mentioned somewhere that he is from the "south". :D:D

Amen to that, it shouldn't make a difference where you are from or what color your skin is. If people don't like interracial marriages, that is their problem. The world is evolving.

Actually someone can be racist and yet may have a friend from that particular "race". Most people like that would just usually classify that person (their friend) as "different" from the "rest". This is nothing new. I've seen and known such people like that. If you ask why would that friend hang out with that person, well that friend may have self-hatred, share same ideas, etc. who knows why.

I'm not saying you're racist, but I am just pointing out that you are wrong.

I've been with black, hispanic, peurto rican and pretty much everything I can think of.

Right now I'm dating one Mexican and two whites. I'd love to marry a Mexican woman as I find them attractive in many ways and I find the whites to be so anti-white, anti-white male or anti-male in general it is hard to overcome.

I live in an area of equal mixture of Mexicans, Native Americans and Whites. And I live close to the Mexico border so I get see a lot of Mexican women. Sometimes I have a hard time knowing whether a woman is Mexican or white.

I wouldn't mind marrying any race but believe me, as someone with experience in interacial relationships when I tell you, at some point you will deal with it, more likely at many points.

I think skin color has nothing to do with it - but people of similar values and cultures are important to get along and have a successful relationship.

People's own world view and attitude is more important.

Most people are mixed anyhow- I part Irish, English, Scottish, French, American, Canadian, German and god knows what else further back probably viking, roman, celt, etc, etc.

No kidding, among the Sunni countries there is only one country that would actually impose the Shari'ah on an apostate and that is Saudia. All the rest of the countries are ruled by the secular minority which let the apostate escape and get political asylum in a western country. Even in the very religious Afghanistan, Karzai let the apostate escape. I'm talking about governments here though, it's possible the people get hold of an apostate and lynch him themselves.

The idea of seperation of Religion and state is heretical to every true believer, whether, Christian, Muslim or Jewish. The reply to a true believer to the one preaching for a seperation of religion and state is:

You're saying, if God has given us two commandments, one for the individual and the other for the collective, we should follow the one and ignore the other?

As late as 1888 in his Encyclical "Liberty" Pope Leo XIII declared

There are others, somewhat more moderate though not more consistent, who affirm that the morality of individuals is to be guided by the divine law, but not the morality of the State, for that in public affairs the commands of God may be passed over, and may be entirely disregarded in the framing of laws. Hence follows the fatal theory of the need of separation between Church and State. But the absurdity of such a position is manifest. Nature herself proclaims the necessity of the State providing means and opportunities whereby the community may be enabled to live properly, that is to say, according to the laws of God. For, since God is the source of all goodness and justice, it is absolutely ridiculous that the State should pay no attention to these laws or render them abortive by contrary enact menu.

You lie! :p I'm a true Christian believer and I can see the definate benefit of seperation of church and state. I am no heritic and I rebuke your saying so lol.

Combining religion and politics is all fine and dandy until it's not your religion running the state.

True believers may grudgingly acknowledge that secularism is the only working solution in a particular circumstance (multi-faith country like Lebanon, for example) but they can never have belief in the seperation of religion and state. If they could have their way they would enforce their religious laws.

In the case of Christians, only the confused ones. I do admit there is a large majority of them though.
