Time limit removal for edits?

In the B/S/T section there are a lot of auctions and instead of scrolling down to check if someone has outbid you can just read the first edited post regarding the highest bids? I know you can contact mods and report posts about making them edit the post for you but the B/S/T is pretty active and they would have change it a lot if the auction goes for more than 8 hours. If this isn't possible, could you extend the edit time period?

Has this been suggested before? If it has, sorry.

The edit option is universal, and while it would likely not be too hard to make on a per-forum basis, I'm unsure if such an action would be worth bothering with...

I'm pretty sure that such a change would likely ease the job of many-a-mod so I certainly would not be against it, I'm just saying that it's far from a default option.

I think that such a suggestion may fare well over on vbulletin.com as I've posted in a thread there backing up such a change. I think if that thread would be found, or new threads started on the matter (and then given support) maybe that can be an option in vb 3.6.8 :D

So, it'll simply increase chance to scam on DP.

    Not recommended!

No... but I think that's a rather nice misconception for most forum members to have ;)

Maybe a mod can delete this post to perpetuate the myth *smirk*

So, you want mods to check every post fo any edits, when someone asks for it?

    Not allowed, again.
