I just heard the news about Arbitrage modeled sites and adsense.

    Take a look: click here

Thanks to mubinahmed.com for the heads up.

Is there anyway to avoid this?

I think this is great. I mean, those who make real content sites and rely on natural traffic will have a greater share of the publishers adverts, meaning higher clicks. This is due to a big decrease in advertiser space causing a much larger demand.

Good to see Google caring for the business plan over profits.

It's gonna be interesting what the NET effect of this will be. Does it only affect people that use ADWORDS TRAFFIC to feed their Adsense pages? Will webmasters that feed their MFA pages with NON-ADWORDS traffic be okay?

I tend to agree, but reading history books teaches that there are always unexpected consequences to any such large-scale action. There will be little loopholes and things that clever people will figure out how to take advantage of. So, we'll see.

Yes that's a big step for Google, but I really hope they manage to increase their pay per click ratios.

What really happened is that a research company called
After the company released this press release Google went on the offensive with their adsense and arbitrage model. Very publically announcing that they will be closing all accounts that are MFA.

Think of this 2 ways, would you publically announce your going to be closing hundreds/thousands of accounts when a rumour of something like this can affect your stock.

Or do you publically announce it so that before news hits the wire that 10-15% of click activity is fraud you can say we have already closed all accounts associated with this activity.

Google is on the offensive people.

I will blog about this later. Thanks to the OP for including my link!

I notice alot of you are without blog feeds if you would like to help me out please add my blog feed to your blog spot. I would appreciate it!

Yes they would, to send out a strong message against MFA and Arbitrage sites.
It was long due, they should have done this long ago.

No one cares about some cheap MFA site owners account being shut down so it is not going to affect Google's stock value, on the other hand it can bring more money to legitimate publishers.

Your right no one cares about the account owners, they care about the accounts. The accounts that were bringing in excess of $10k a month are now going to be shutdown. Its a loss in terms of profit.

Is this for ALL arbitrage accounts or just those who feed their adsense pages with adwords traffic?

I doubt all Arbitrage accounts are being shut, Im sure its just the "low yielding" ones.

I guess only 2 days before you know if you get the inevitable email or not.

Supposedly even high yielding ones will be closed too. At the end of the day, they are fighting the search index too. If they close MFA sites down then they won't appear in the index either - it works on so many levels for Google todo this. If only they had done this a few months earlier though!
